I have read a few reviews about The Borgata and I must say, people complain about the smallest things.
I am a "Black Label"card holder at the facility and as such, I am treated very well. I am not a huge gambler, but when I do, I prefer to spend my gambling budget at the Borgata. As a Black Label holder, you sometimes get preference for rooms and resturants.
Rooms
The rooms are very chic and trendy. Art Deco-ish. I have stayed in their standard rooms and also their suites. Each offers comforts and amenities like home.
Dining
The dining establishments are very nice, except the Metropolitian Cafe. I don't like it, and have yet to have a good meal there. The buffet is very good, but it is expensive. There is a good variety of food. I just wish they would have more salad items.
Bobby Flays was very good. My steak was cooked to perfection and the service was wonderful. The seating is a little tight, but it was not uncomfortable.
Old Homestead is also good. I thought that the my steak could use more seasoning. The appetizers were the best, especially the American Carpicio (which is no longer on the menu).
The Cafeteria is good for something quick. Fat Burger is the Best! But be careful, if you use your comps, it's two for one...this I don't like.
Wolfgang Pucks was also good. Don't get the liver though. One of my party members did, and it was not the most pleasing item. The Antipasto Plate is to die for!!
Now is great for Chinese. It get's very crowded, but the food is wonderful.
Gambling
Since I don't play the tables, can't comment on them except that they are always crowded. The Borgata offers a great variety of slots both reel and video. I prefer the themed video slots with mutiple lines. I have won some and lost some there. But my sentiment is, if you can't afford to lose it, don't gamble. Of course, the slots can be tight at times (usually on a gift or money give away night), but mostly it good entertainment. They offer one cent on up!
Hopes this helps someone thinking about going to the Borgata.
