Room - The decor of the Borgata is sleek and contemporary. Fans of design will be impressed with the large marble bathroom and glassed shower stall. The toiletries were quite urban and hip as well. Our bed was quite comfy, no lumps. The view was great and the room was spacious enough for me and my boyfriend.
Spa - Pool seemed to close really early so we missed out completely. I was really disappointed. I suspect it was because they wanted you out on the floor gambling.
Location - Now the Borgata is pretty far from the Boardwalk strip, once you're in...you're in. Expect to be eating/drinking/gambling in this one place. There didn't seem to be much else around. It was tough to be doing the fine-dining thing all the time.
Dining - My best dining recommendation is Noodles of the World. Incredibly affordable asian dishes of Pho, Pad Thai, General Tso Chicken, Shanghai Noodles, Wanton Soup, Rice dishes etc. in the middle of the gambling floor, tucked away. Average main was $12-15. Grab a gelato at the Metropolitan for dessert. The Borgata Buffet is not that great at breakfast. You have to wait in line for about 30 minutes for a table, rush through your food so you can make their EARLY check-out time of 11 AM. Kind of a pain. But if you book their breakfast package, its included so you might as well. Just set your alarm to EARLY to beat the wait.
Screw-ups - Ok the Borgata ALSO tried to charge me TWICE as I read another reviewer went through the same thing. They charged me at time of booking and then again after I did the express check-out thing. They were all nice in crediting my card back...but I ended up paying an extra $10 because the Canadian exchange fluctuated between the time of the charge and the credit. So check your credit card bills after your stay!
All in all, not that bad and a decent price.
