My fiancée and I recently stayed for one-night at The Borgata. We were very, very impressed with the hotel, but not with the gambling options. This is by far the nicest hotel in Atlantic City. Our hotel room was immaculate and we had a great view of the City from the 26th floor. Everything was new and in excellent condition. The bathroom was very spacious and actually had two doors so someone could use the sink and shower while another person could use the toilet at the same time. There were a number of over-sized towels available as well. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. We checked in at a peak time (around 2:30 pm) and only had about a 10-minute wait. Everyone we dealt with at the hotel was very courteous. I had a few questions days before I arrived at the hotel. A manager by the name of Michael Facenda gave me very useful information about the hotel and transportation arrangements. We also went swimming and soaked in the hot tubs at the pool atrium, which was beautifully decorated in a tropical setting. It only took a few minutes to sign up for a Rewards card. The Borgata does have its imperfections though. Although the casino is huge, while we were there, including a slow Monday morning, there were only one or two 5-dollar Blackjack tables available. Only a few more were 10-dollar tables. When we went to play Blackjack on a Sunday evening, only one 5-dollar table and just two 15-dollar tables were available. Crowds were huddled around those tables waiting for a spot to play. Every other Blackjack table in the casino was a 25, 50, or 100-dollar minimum. That’s ridiculous and a turn-off to responsible, recreational, “low-rollers” like myself who want to play for a fun and a small amount of money. I loved the Borgata and will definitely return. However, unless there are lower minimum Blackjack tables available, next time I might have to take a $1.50 jitney to another casino that caters to recreational, low-rollers even though I did win $145.00 on my first visit to The Borgata.

I'll never go back to the Borgata for New Year's... or any other holiday. The restaurants were jammed...lines were incredible... options were limited because not everything was open... and the food wasnt good. My husband ordered a steak medium rare.. and was served a dried-out piece of gray shoe leather. I ordered a reuben.. and was disappointed to discover they forgot the Russian dressing. Comps were skimpy... and the slot dollars I thought I had earned were nowhere to be found when I started playing.

I've been going to the Borgata since they opened mainly from May til October, slept there about 25 times. At first this hotel was top value, super plush. I loved being there, never wanted to leave. The rooms were super clean and the elegance was superb. The slot seats were new, and now worn. The casino is beginning to take on the smell of smoke. The standard room needs a little more attention. Last time I stayed, there were 2 dirty towels left in my bathroom, and the carpets are worn and stained. They changed my favorite tea, I think for something cheaper. The long lines for the buffet are getting unbearable, the food is very good there, and the food and service at the Metropolitan is bad. Oh and I'm never going back to that Starbucks, I've been there four times different weeks, and staff is just rude and unattentive. The slot play is alright, not too loose, and I like to play on the tables when the min. isnt $25. The comps are very good. I'll probably go back next summer, hopefully their issues will have been improved on.

My wife and I go to Atlantic City every Christmas. We normally stay at the Hilton. For the second time, they would not honor my comp room. We had stayed at the Borgata once before and got a free room offer in the mail. It was not for a Friday night but they honored my comp anyway.

Every aspect of the weekend was perfect. The staff was friendly the room was beautiful. The restaurants superb, if you eat at Mixx, have the chocolate fondue for dessert!!! We also ate at Suiline, not to be missed!

Our comp was for one night but we were enjoying ourselves so much we called a host and asked for a second night, no problem! On a Saturday too. My wife and I play craps but we are not high rollers.

There are too many nice touches to name, from the waitress at the buffet giving my wife a second mug of coffee to take with her as we had to leave to not having to get paper tickets to use your comps, just pay the restaurant bill with your comp card.

The hotel is beautiful and the rest of the Atlantic City casinos have lost our business. We talked to many people there that told us the same thing.

This beautiful hotel/casino is now our only choice in AC.

If you're going to Atlantic City, stay at the Borgata. It's as close to Vegas as Atlantic City gets. Service isn't as great as it could be, but the rooms are incredibly comfortable, and the atmosphere is much better than the other hotels in town.
