My wife and I stayed at the resort the first weekend in September. I was very impressed by the view from their suites. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I found the staff to be very friendly and informative about the area. Each day of my stay, I was able to take a nice walk on the boardwalk, which is located in front of the property. This is one of the best resorts in town. Highly recommended.

Booked two rooms fortunatly for just one night on the 4th of august.
It is true that the view is breathtaking and the location is good to, just on the boardwalk. BUT:
Tired rooms wich would have been ok if they were clean but that was not the case, used, dirty plastic bags under the bed along with dust and a beer can. Very dirty bathtubs (grease and hair).
That was not acceptable for the price we paid ( 240 dollars per room per night!!!)
I informed the reception and got a sorry, thats it.
Will definitly not return.

I had booked this hotel as a last minute place to go with the kids(First time I didnt' know where we were going and I was wishy washy, wasn't going away because we spent a ton on a deck with the plastic wood$$L

BOttom line.

Pros: Room was fantastic, room was spotless clean.
Loved the fact you had a separate bedroom(1 bdr. suite)
and the living room nice . Small kitchen basically for
microwaving and frig came in handy. Love the fact that
the icemaker was making ice constantly, didn't have to jump floor just to get ice. Loved the fact that with kids (9 and 70 asthma...
no smoking......if you are a non smoker.

The only reason I liked it more is because I ended up switching from the 29th floor to the ninth.

Cons; Phone didn't work, only on speaker mode. Tried to call husband when I was out, no one ever answered.

I'm just warning everyone (like I was warned!)

Before I checked in, asked three employees about the complaints about the elevator. Each one lied to my face(I found out later)

You end up stopping during certain time of the day 9am-12, 3-7p.m. Waiting endlessly for elevators. People were furious, and they couldn't walk 29 floors to go down. I would say half the time, we ended up walking down the 9 floors, after waiting 20 mins. and four full elevators.

The thing that irked me the most was....at least all day, there would be another 7 or more floors of stopping with the help.
It was unbelievable that there isn't a separate elevator for them.
YOu couldn't even fit when they were bringing luggage in and out. I felt sorry for them.

Other con: Garage has NO elevator..just tons of stairs to get between floors. IT's first come first serve, so better get everything out of the car when you leave it there and don't drive anywhere.

OKay.....My husband loved the room, the view....and cleanliness.
He said he would come back in a heartbeat(LOL) because the elevator being the only problem Did not outweigh the extra room, view...e.tc.

IT's not a place to have a home cooked meal, but we had cereal, popcorn, sandwiches, etc......

My husband liked the fact that you couldn't enter without a key from the boardwalk.

My husband and I went to AC for the weekend of my birthday which was July 15th. When we visit AC we usually stay at the Holiday Inn which is always a wonderful place to stay. Anyway i decided to try a different hotel for a change and looking at photos of the Atlantic Palace Hotel online, I thought it looked good and I was excited by the jacuzzi. When we arrived at the hotel on Friday I already felt uneasy due to the strip club located across the street. I never been to that end of the boardwalk and the people and the area appeared sleazy to me. The parking garage seemed unsafe and congested. Needless to say the "Park At Your Own Risk Sign" did'nt help the appeal of this place as well. Finally while checking in i noticed young hookers going in and out of this hotel and staff seemed oblivious to this situation. Definately not kid or decent people friendly. But this was the good part. When we entered the room I was completely let down. The room looked very run down like a cheap motel. The bathroom looked old and uncleaned. The jacuzzi was'nt impressive either. Also I was shocked to see this room had absolutely no clock. But what made my husband and I check out the next morning was that we saw dried blood stains on the pillow case. This hotel should be shout down or turned into a brothel since they seem to accomodate hookers. Just sleeping there one night was a nightmare. For $200.00 plus for a night is disgraceful for this hotel. Also watch out for the bugs if you decide to stay there. When checking out in the morning they asked me if anything was wrong with our stay and I decided not to bother discussing our hellish night at this dump, but get out of this hotel as soon as possible and get our refund. I felt let down because it was the day of my b-day and we had to go through something like this. So we decide to return back to the Holiday Inn and you can never go wrong there. Professional staff, very good housekeeping staff, and no hookers coming and going.

Look, we were quite pleased with the Royal Suites at Atlantic Palace. Before we booked, we noted the negatives posted on Trip Advisor, felt that they were outnumbered by the positive comments and were indeed, happy with the outcome.

We had no problems with the location, staff courtesy, comfort and cleanliness of the Suites. No breakfast included, but that's OK. You can either prepare it yourself in the well equipped kitchen area included in the room or go downstairs to the adjoining little restaurant and use a discount voucher you receive at check-in.

Bed was comfortable and hot tub in the room a bonus. Great value for the room rate we paid.

Parking wasn't a problem in the adjoining parking station. We dropped or bags in the foyer and then parked. And vice-versa for checking out.

As for Atlantic City. Well, we've been there now, done that. Probably not quite our scene; It certainly ain't no Vegas.

However, if one day we decide to return, we would not have a problem staying at this hotel again and do recommend it.

Regards,
L & M from Oz
