“Nice hotel for AC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

This hotel is huge! You have to do a lot of walking just to get to the elevators that lead to the rooms. However, the rooms are beautiful and very modern. Great amenities. Great ocean views. Good selections of restaurants

We loved everything about Revel. We received an upgrade to a suite through Amex and it was amazing. We loved the Social, Relish and Amada. We had a great time at Ivan Kane's Royal Jelly and HQ nightclub. Can't wait to go back and visit the other venues there. Must visit place!!

My husband and I decided we needed a mini vacation from our home life. It was mid May and we had no idea where to go. The weather was not yet warm enough for outdoor activities by the water but we decided on Atlantic City as it is only 90 minuets from home. We'd stayed in other casino hotels in the past and we were not pleased. We felt as though we were being herded like cattle toward the casino at every turn. There were no activities one could partake in without passing through the casino. Another disappointment was the fact that there is nowhere to sit other than a seat in front of a slot machine. Not our idea of a vacation at all.

I saw an ad for the Revel Resort which stated the designers of the hotel took a new approach by creating all sorts of places to sit and relax while enjoying your stay. They also decided to concentrate on the resort aspect of the hotel rather than the casino aspect. Well let me tell you they hit their mark 100%. The only activity that is associated with the casino is dining. All the restaurants in the hotel surround the casino. However, you do not have to walk through the casino to reach any of the restaurants.

The hotel is just beautiful. Everywhere you turn there is some interesting architectural aspect that catches your eye. We were very please with everything about the hotel. The service was outstanding. The rooms were very well designed and appointed. The entire hotel was clean in a way I have never seen in a casino resort. When we stayed the entire resort was non-smoking. That changed in July when they created designated smoking areas in the casino. There are still no smoking rooms in the hotel.

Since our first visit we have returned five times and have yet to find a single fault with the resort.

Room Tip: When making your reservation tell them you'd like to be on the Brigantine side of the building...

Fantastic resort style casino in AC... Rooms are very nice and all the restaurants are a must... We switched to here from the Tropicana by chance on a one night free deal, but it's worth the switch and be sure to check with a host, they will work with your comp's to get you in, if you are willing to commit... The entire place is no smoking too!!!

Room Tip: All so far have been great, go there now instead of tropicana 3-5 times a year...

We booked this hotel because I was trying to recreate the spa experience I had a few years ago at THE hotel in Vegas. Truly this was even better. The hotel itself is lovely. Check in was a breeze, staff friendly, room had the ocean view as promised. Others have commented on slow elevator s...I don't think we waited even a minute for the elevator at any time. I will review the restaurants separately but each of the three we experienced were great. No problem with attentive housekeeping staff, either. The spa was to die for. Coed, with a lot of single sex space too if you prefer. There is a 55$ charge but you can get in free if you book a service. The massage I had was among the best I have had, followed by bliss in the various pools, sauna, steam, and all the amenities (even cucumbers for your eyes)' The hotel has easy access to the beach and boardwalk, as well and the casinos were not as smoke filled as others have mentioned. A very upscale experience .. a good example of getting what you pay for!!

Very easy to drive to, only $5 to park, and everything you could need for a fun-filled bachelorette weekend. Rooms were great, many restaurant options, burlesque dance class w/ unlimited bubbly, and gambling. We had a great time, and everyone in the hotel was very helpful and kind.

For many years Atlantic City worshippers awaited the hotels opening, it was to take the city by storm to become the premier hotel. A hotel costing a ton of money would be the first to pay homage to the Atlantic Ocean. Unfortunately AC couldn't support the magnificence of Revel. Despite the economics of that city, Revel is a spectacular property that must be experienced.

From the drive up Revel Drive, to the check in which is independent from the casino, to the extra wide guest room corridors, to the unique key entry system, any guest ever having stayed in a casino hotel in Atlantic City will notice a difference. Architecturally, this hotel pays tribute to the ocean, to metal, to stone, wood and glass. There is no plastic to be found and never is there a feeling of being closed in. The lobby is grandiose and the guest rooms have what I call very cool touches! When was the last time you checked into an Atlantic City hotel where the remote control operated the TV, the drapes and the lights? Speaking of lights, there were no less than six separate wall switches, most of which had dimmer controls. It is the little things that were obviously well thought out when this hotel was designed. Even the telephone is programed personally for your use moments upon arrival. Just pretty cool stuff.

The food and beverage options are basic, the prices are as expected. The casino has caved into the desire for gamblers to smoke and have added sections where smoking is allowed. Table minimums were a bit high for a weekday and I might add that the casino is either enormously large, or it was amazingly slow. I'm not sure if bus day trippers are welcomed at Revel, but I would guess that either they left for the day or are not targeted as customer's, not that there is anything wrong with bus day trippers.

The associates that I encountered were all very polite, not five star caliber mind you, but well groomed and alert to your needs. The lack of on floor management was noticeable, perhaps a hotel operating during a re-structuring can't afford seasoned hotel execs to be visible by the guest because they're too busy trying to figure out how to pay the bills for a property that has left no stone unturned.

I can only wish the hotel success, I just don't think Atlantic City can support such a tremendous facility such as Revel. If the economy turns, or if they figure out a way to climb out of bankruptcy one day, perhaps they will also bring back some sort of early morning coffee availability. The trip from a guest room to the only outlet serving coffee before 7AM is lengthy. No in room coffee, room service opens at 6:30 and the charge for a pot of regular and a pot of de cafe is twenty two dollars. Come on man!

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view.
