Don't believe the reviews!! The Flagship Resort is a nice resort, everything from the location, room, staff, and activities were great. My family and I stayed from August 14, 2006-August 16, 2006 through expedia(-). We had such a good time that we had to extend our stay just one more night. We enjoyed the food at the Ozone Grill in the resort, especially lunch, dinner, and the bar, although we would pass on the breakfast buffet. Other than that we had no problems. The resort even offers a Hip-Hop Line Dancing Class three days a week, casino night, fishing, a fun zone for the little ones, an arcade for teens, FREE shuttle service to the Sands Casino in which the boardwalk is right around the corner for non-gamblers. The staff all over the resort were very nice (front desk, maids, shuttle drivers, waitresses, hostesses, bell hoppers, and even other guest who were vacationing). It has a nice indoor pool and Jacuzzi's. The rooms are nice, we had a Junior Suite which came equipped with two double beds, a sofa bed, mini kitchenette w/two burner stove, dishes, washing liquid, a mini fridge, microwave, cofee maker, toaster oven, and cabinets. We had plenty of towels and wash cloths, the views and air conditioning were great!!! The only problem that we experienced were with the elevators, they were'nt really a problem, it's just hard to catch an empty one or to get one as soon as you push the button, especially during check out time; but we can definitely say that they were clean with nice marble floors, lighting, and they always keep you posted of what's going on in the hotel right above the buttons. Realistically, you can't complain about the elevators because there are exactly 32 Floors. We would definitely come back and definitely recommend this resort because of the great hospitality, ocean & city views, boardwalk, outlets, and so much more. This resort offers so much for everyone to do; don't forget to check out some of the views on the hotel decks & the on-site boardwalk! We will definitely be back next summer!!!!!!!!!

Check in time is 4:00 p.m., we arrived at 8:30 p.m.. Our room was not ready and was told they do not know when the room would be ready due to housekeepping problems. We were told by our rude check in clerk who obviously did not care a child was present (due to his obscene language) that they would call when it was ready and to go to the bar! At 11:30 that evening -still no phone call- we returned and was informed our room was finaly ready. We booked a King sutie, only to be told they do not have a king suite, the room was dirty and definatley not worth the 200.00 per night we paid. I asked for the manager, who never was in and would not return my calls, asked for the owners name and was told they could not release this information. I would never recommend this to anyone...

I have to rate this hotel as a solid value. I have read some of the negative posts and I agree that some, either through travel inexperience or being very nitpicky expect Four Seasons service for EconoLodge pricing.

I have stayed at many places and realize the scale of opulent luxury all the way down nuisance laden unpleasantness can be subjective so here are the key points of the hotel. My stay was based upon an ocean view room on the 24th floor which cost me $99 plus taxes for a Thursday night stay.

• Staff: Check in desk experience was mediocre. Girl was new and not social. Made it a point to tell us that if we smoked in a non smoking room the fine was $200. I found that borderline insulting and uncalled for. Remainder of staff always smiled and said hello. When we went to Ozone to ask where to buy cream and sugar they handed us two cups loaded with packets and containers of each. No charge and given with a smile.

• Room:
- Room was clean, dishes, sink, microwave, coffee maker, vanities and mirrors were shining. Balcony was swept and railings free from bird droppings. The room was not anything to exclaim over but was nicer than I expected.
- All towels (plenty of them) were folded neatly.
- Room was stocked with paper towels, dish liquid, coffee
- Refrigerator and air conditioning were working perfectly
- My only complaints were that the room A/C was turned off when we got in the room so the room had very high humidity which can impart a damp feeling to sheets.

• Amenities/Misc:
- View was very nice. In my opinion everywhere in Atlantic City is very urban and rundown. This is true of many resort areas. I'm not sure why someone would care about riding a bike or walking the grounds. I would never venture anywhere but from casino to casino or perhaps walk the boards. If you want an upscale area you can do those things, Ventnor, Longport, Ocean City will all blow you away with their lovely surroundings. They will also cost more than $99 per night. Hello.
- I didn't use the pool
- Restaurant food was mediocre. About waht you would expect in a hotel of this caliber. Fine for most. Breakfast buffet is decent.

The elevator situation: Its a little ridiculous. Best advice was given by a staff member. Get on an elevator going up. This whole craziness is only at check out time. It would be advisable to not wait until the last hour or so to check out.

I gave this place four stars because of the extraordinary value. If you show me anywhere else on the planet you can get a top floor, ocean view effeciency in a hotel that offers clean rooms and decent service for $99 pleeeeeease let me know of it.

My new husband and I were on our honeymoon and I researched this hotel and thought it was a really good choice because of the positive reviews and the cost and the fact that it had a balcony!Which was so appropriate for the occassion! I was a little nervous because some reviews were scary but We didn't have a problem with the elevators or with the rooms being dirty! The only advice I would give is if you put the sign out to have houskeeping come make sure to leave a note for them to close the door! That was my only problem.Other than that we had a blast and had a lovely ocean view room on the 23rd floor.I would probably go back again.

The most dissapointing thing I read was about the area. No it's not one of the nicest areas, but where in AC can you walk one block from any casino down town and find a nice area. One review mentioned there wasn't a nice area in site. Well they must have never left that hotel because directly behind it and all the way down the the Aquarium are very nice homes which are pretty much new and occupied. As for riding a bike, why would you want to ride a bike any time after 10:00 a.m. on the board walk in the summer in the first place. Aren't you in AC to gamble? You wouldn't take a bike and park it infront of every casino when ever you wanted to stop and gamble. Every stay I have had I was given a different room and was happy with each. Of course as with a lot of hotels there is always something you can complain about. I've enjoyed every view from this hotel. I was also happy not to be right in the center of the action. I was able to have a resturant/bar and the hotel had night life. Any staff I've come into contact with was always friendly and helpful. Maybe the person who stayed here was looking for a $500 dollar a night room with the $500 dollar a night service. I have always recommened this hotel for the price. If you are going to visit AC I would rather spend less than $200 a night for a room that is a suite with a view, shuttle service, reasturant/bar, pool, etc. than so much money on the strip in a room that's the size of your bedroom, no balcony and not guaranteed a view. I recommend this place for people who are on a budget but don't want to feel like they are staying in a cheap hotel.
