We just returned from vacationing in Atlantic City. Staying at the Flagship was great. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. We had decided to go for a day trip to Washington DC. And the front desk printed us our driving directions which were a tremendous help and keep us from getting lost as the map that we had brought along proved useless.
We were given a list of activities for the week, and what a list. We did the shopping mall, line dancing, casino night, signed up for the outlet mall trip and took full advantage of the shuttle bus. Berry's line dancing class is a must, my husband even joined in and completely enjoyed it, he was just going to watch me
Prior to our trip we were reading all the reviews and were concerned when reading some. But I can honestly say that there was never any problem. I would wake up early and walk down the boardwalk where I could walk on the beach, swim in the ocean if I wanted, or walk to the casino which took less than 20 minutes, we also had a car and liked to explore, the flagship is in such a great location we were able to drive to the boat docks and found a boat captain unloading his days catch, walked around the marina, found a couple restaurants, antique shop, Ocean Life Center. On the boardwalk was the Steel Pier amusement park, bike rentals and much more. The restaurants in the area were great. The flagship restaurant 'The Ozone' was by far my favorite. You could not beat the view of the ocean and the staff from the chef to the waitress were great. We had heard that the seafood buffet at Harrah's was not to be missed (boy were they wrong) I have never been so disappointed in anything in my entire life. My advice is eat on the boardwalk or at The Ozone.
We are not much for gambling but did try several casinos, we had heard that the slots were really tight but in our experience we usually doubled our money.
Our room was great, the view was breathtaking, the bedroom view and the balcony was by far my favorite spot. I loved waking up to the sound of the ocean. The living room area was nice. The couch was comfortable and the small kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare food. Within 2 blocks was a small corner store with everything we needed to include a deli. The roast beef was excellent. The outdoor deck and pool area was excellent. Wonderful view and the pool area was clean, a great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing and shopping.
We had read about the elevators and how slow they were. But for us there were no problem and the elevators at the casinos to reach the parking ramps were no faster. At times there was a full elevator, but people were friendly and everyone offered suggestions on places to see. It made our trip enjoyable. We will most definitely return to Atlantic City and stay at the Flagship, and recommend the Flagship to our friends and family.
