We needed a place to stay for a quick one-night trip to Atlantic City and I had about a day’s notice! All the casino hotels were either booked or exorbitantly priced. I found the Flagship on a search engine and thought the $99 price tag for a Friday night was a great price. But I was also prepared to be underwhelmed. We were pleasantly surprised.

The hotel is looked in an area that is being re-developed, about six (long) blocks away from the Showboat Casino. Parking is easy (and free). We arrived in AC at just after 4:00 p.m. and it took less than 5 minutes to check in. Our room was on the 10th floor with a specatcular view of the ocean….really breathtaking. The room was clean and neatly appointed. We received a phone call asking if we would like to take a VIP tour the next morning and our check-out time would be moved to 2:00 pm. It sounded to me like a timeshare deal (which we already have and are very happy with), so I turned down the offer. We were going to a concert at the Borgata, so we pretty much checked in and headed over there for dinner.

The next morning we loaded up the car and headed back into the Flagship for a late breakfast at the Ozone Café. It is a buffet, but there is also an omelet station and a station for Belgian waffles. Everything tasted great and we had a table overlooking the inlet….very nice atmosphere!

We are planning to return. It is a very nice alternative to the casino hotels.

I received a phone call telling me that I had been chosen to receive many free gifts including $1,000 gift certificate for online merchandise, 2 airline tickets to many destinations including Venice, Italy, and a free 2 night - 3 day vacation for taking aromo tour of an Atlantic city resort. I have always been skeptical regarding these promotional tours, and I was correct! The facility itself was quite nice, but the gifts were totally worthless. The airline tickets to Venice were free (if you could get the date you wanted), but you had to stay 10 - 14 nights in their hotel at a cost of $300 per night - you do the math. The gift certificate for $1,000 in merchandise was also a scam. The items were totally worthless, and they charged you about 1/3 of the cost of the item to ship each one. Who wants $1,000 worth of pocket calculators that costs $15 each to ship to you??? So, if there is anyone out there who receives a call like the one I got, believe me, there is nothing too good to be true.

We just returned from the Flagship and had a wonderful time. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very accomodating. The view from our room was breath taking. The hotel is situated right on the boardwalk with a beautiful ocean view. Shuttle service was prompt and driver was courteous. Hotel could use a coffee shop. I would go back!

I received a phone call one evening from a young lady telling me that I have been selected for some free gifts. Being my skeptic self, I told her that was not interested right off the bat!! However I let her continue to just to hear the scam. Turns out one if those silly little cards that I filled out comes into play, and is offering me free gifts for my participation in the promotion, meaning 90 min of time share tour and boy have I had some bad experiences!! I still allowed to her to continue after all I do like to save money when traveling. Turns out that she wants me to drive about 3 hrs to AC by the weekend I thought for a second since I was going to visit my brother just north of there that Saturday that I could actually consider it. Before you know it I am getting some confirmation # that I will need when I get there. Still deep in my mind I probably won't be attending. Well I showed up with the intentions of maybe not being to receptive to say. I was very surprised From being pleasantly greeted to not being disrespected and being pressured to by in to the time share they simply showed me the 1,2,3 bedroom suites and I did entertain the Idea and was on my way with a gift packet that contained everything promised and more a $10 casino chip for the sands. The only reason I did not give the experience a rating of excellent was do to the fact that they really could have just mailed the gifts to me with some brochures I never bought. but the funny thing is I was telling my brother later that evening about the hotel and how breath taking the ocean view was the I was beginning to do advertising for the resort and that the young lady that made it possible said something about good old fashion word of mouth advertising... go figure

Timeshare owner in Orlando with a bad exchange into Myrtle Beach accomodation (A Place at the Beach - Windy Hills, North Myrtle Beach). Family refused to stay there after checking in. So, we drove up to visit family in Maryland, then off to a last-minute in Atlantic City. Flaship Resort staff is great overall, accomodation is quite good for $99 a night, no complaint here. They do have plenty of amenities for kids via game room, pool, workout gym, restaurant. We had a very pleasant stay, and will revisit in the future when we're in that direction, for sure! Thanks!!!
