I am an owner at LA SAMANA in Brigantine but cannot spend "extra nights" there. I chose the Flagship because it is a great resort. The most important thing is to choose only a room facing the water. It is a spectacular view and, if you are on an upper floor, you will love the view of the entire skyline of Atlantic City. When checking in, specify that you need a room on the water. I had reserved two different rooms and only one was clean at the time of check-in. I had to speak to the manager of the front desk to get the other room on the water. The one bedroom is a fantastic deal if you have privacy needs because there is a parlor with dining set and a full kitchen. There is a sofabed in the living room. The outdoor terrace was unbelievable.

The "studio" is not as small as it sounds. It is a room with two queen beds and is very spacious.

The resort is close to Brigantine and the Borgata hotel(which you have to see to believe) and there is a shuttle service to the boardwalk, but it only goes to one casino on the boardwalk. Do not miss the PIER which is opposite the CAESARS Casino and HOtel. It is an incredible three-story building on a huge pier filled with shops and restaurants(some $$$$) and a very elegant food court. You can spend several hours there if you like shopping. If you're there at night there is a wonderful water display towards the end of the pier. Don't miss that.

There is parking available for $5 (unless you are an "owner"). The front desk gives you a card for your car and you can come and go as you please.

Overall, the indoor pool is nice with an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi. There is a huge game room for kids and the restaurant is spectacular, overlooking the water. The breakfast buffet is fine for 10.95 and owners with their cards can get 20% off their bills.

Please feel free to contact me with any ????. Frank RAffa

  • Liked — There is a lot to do at the resort and there is a shuttle service to the boardwalk.
  • Disliked — The wireless internet does not work in all locations as publicized. It works well in the lobby, though. The business center fees are outrageous-.69 a minute to use computer.

First of all, I'm going to have to be a bit picky to give an honest view of our family's stay here. I know how hard it is to book a vacation and then be nervous about the stay

We stayed at the Flagship after exchanging our time share week, so I can't comment on the price.

The Flagship is at the very top of the boardwalk and is extremely quiet, and conversely away from most of the action. The hotel does run a free regular shuttle bus to Bally's, and Bally's runs shuttle buses to 4 other casinos, so it is not terribly difficult to get around.

The check in was very smooth, with zero problems. We stayed in a 'studio deluxe' on the 20th floor with two queen beds and a mini kitchen. The room was very clean and about 600 square feet. It had a 36 inch flat screen TV and a DVD player. We had to purchase a splitter to be able to hook up the XBox system.

The view from the balcony was lovely! We could see over the city towards the marina and then to the ocean. From what I can tell, most, if not all rooms, have a balcony and it was very peaceful to use.

The bathroom was probably the biggest negative - very very small. Just enough room for the tub, toilet, and sink and that's it!

The kitchen came with a 3/4 fridge, microwave, toaster, burner, coffee pot, and a dishwasher along with basic utensils. Also included were basic cleaning products and paper towels.

There is no daily cleaning by the staff, although towels are available if you call. Oddly enough the hotel charges $50 if you don't leave with the trash tied up and dishes washed. I didn't like that at all - am I to assume that the dishes were cleaned by the previous tenant or just put up there? Gross.

The hotel has a pool, two sundecks and two jacuzzis - all on the smaller side, but nice enough with towels on site.

Every day there are tons and tons of activities for the family, especially for the little ones. In addition, guests can check out DVD's from the hotel's lending library. The hotel has a small theatre and shows a movie every night and there is a very nice bar also. All kids from 5-16 are required to wear arm bands during their stay and the pool is only open to adults from 8-9 at night.

This is a timeshare hotel, so expect at least one call inviting you to a sales meeting. We declined both times, politely, and no one called us after that.

There is free wi fi in the room, but the internet access is slow, slow, slow.

Which leads me to the elevators - what is the deal with other posters? The elevators are no more slow (or fast) than any other in a standard hotel with more than 20 floors. No, they are not as fast as the elevators in an office building, but they are well within the standard of what I would have expected. I think our longest wait was about 90 seconds and the shortest was immediate. There are 4 shafts for 30 floors, and it's going to take some time, but it was about what I would have expected.

Parking is on site for $5 a night - on the street for free.

As far as Atlantic city itself - if you are coming here expect to see a city with all the highs and lows of an urban area. TONS of great shopping intermingled with poverty. Hey, it's AC - it is what it is.

So overall, certainly not a glamorous hotel, but very very nice. I completely expect we will stay here again!

  • Liked — Great view, large room, easy access to casinos and shopping
  • Disliked — Small bathroom, slow wi fi

I am from New Jersey and have been to Atlantic City several times before. Atlantic City is a City. Outside the hotels/casinos, I would compare the area to Newark or Camden. Many empty lots, dumpy buildings etc.. It is not the safest after dark either so I would be cautious. All the hotels are beautiful. Some I would recommend seeing are Showboat, Borgata, and Tropicana. The Pier at Caesar's is great for shopping. The best buffet I've found is at Borgata. Make sure to sign up for a Total Reward's Card because with that comes many benefits. If you want to sit on the beach, I'd suggest go to either Bally's or Caesar's because they have a beach bar with entertainment along with clean restrooms. They also have Chairs and Umbrellas for rent. We spent a week in Atlantic City and found it to be a little too much, because everything does cost money and it does get tiring after a while. Jitney can be slow at times also. Overall great vacation and definitely hope to return to the Flagship soon.

The hotel was average. No frills but definitely liveable. The elevator was awful. We had to weight about 5-10 minutes each time we wanted to use it. The hotel had a shuttle to take you to the main hub of casinos. It was not in the midst of everything, but was accessible.

We stayed at the flagship fanta-sea. I think there is 2 in atlantic city, one in the hub and one outside.

Me and a group of my girls stayed here for my Bachelorette Party. The hotel was clean and in great shape. The suite had everything we needed. We had a lightbulb go out and the guy was there in minutes to change it.

The only con I have is that the hallways were a bit warm. The only reason I say it was a problem was because it took forever to get an elevator to get off the 10th floor to get to checkout. They were all full and it appeared that only 2 of the 4 were working.

Other than that, I would definitely stay there again. The view from the balcony was splendid!

  • Liked — The location.
  • Disliked — The elevators during checkout.
