We went to AC for a girls weekend and ended up at the pricy Trump Marina. What a let down! When we got there are 8:00 PM we went to the long line to check in. When it was our turn we were told that the room was not ready (check in is at 6:00 pm) and that the smoking room that we booked was not the one we would get. (We ended up with a nonsmoking room, on the 25th floor, so we had to go to the casino and smoke.) The hotel advertised that it had a very cool night club... but it was almost empty!! And the youngest people we saw there we in there late 30's. We did end up going to a bar in the hotel and paid way to much for a crappy mixed drink. If I were to go to AC again I would pay a little more to get on the boardwalk. Which the Trump Marina is far from and you have to go though some rough places to get to.

  • Liked — The room was clean.
  • Disliked — The location, there was NOTHING to do close to there.

Returned from a 4 night stay at the trump marina, requested a view of the water which the front desk approved, the view was spectacular of the marina and atlantic ocean. The casino is relatively small, and the slots seem tight. The buffet is about 18 dollars and some of the food was cold. The high speed internet was not working in our room the whole time we were there, there was also an addtional charge to use internet of 12.95 a day which i refuse to pay since most hotels will let you use it free of charge. The pool area was decent, pool water warm, but very noisy due to construction and the pool cafe not open on monday or tuesday. Also, the elevator doors would not shut most of the time forcing you to shut them on your own. The outdoor marina bar/restaurant was nice, good food and drinks, slow service. Best part of the trip was making a trip to the boardwalk, so much shopping, beautiful beach and great night clubs. We either took the jitney for 2 dollars or walked, but you walk through some bad neighborhoods, and it is about a half hour walk. Enjoyed visiting the Taj Mahal/ballys/ceasars, would stay at one of those next time? Overall the trump marina appeared clean and friendly, no complaints about the room exept walls were thin and they are stingy on towels. A nice surprise was the amount of comp points you can use towards food and drink if you use your card playing at the marina. I give it a good review with some need for improvement.

We had 4 rooms booked for a 2 night stay. After much time spent on-line outlining our requests, we were lucky to even get rooms. A huge line up at check-in (this was at 4pm) with only two clerks on duty. No adjoining rooms, no smoking rooms, no rooms with 2 beds, etc. I guess that's why they call them requests!
One couple in our party discovered that one of their beds had already been slept in and the sheets were never changed. Also. lots of pubic hair in the bathroom.
No kleenex, no coffee for the coffee maker, not enough towels, one teeny little bar of soap.
Time share skells waiting to ambush you as you walk to check-in, and millions of them on the boardwalk. Speaking of check-in, it's easiest to pull into 'valet' parking area, drop off your stuff and people and then go to self park. Otherwise you'll be humping all your luggage through the parking garage to the elevators.
I am a smoker so the new non-smoking rules kind of takes the fun away. But right next to the lobby bar is a smoking slot section so it's not far to walk.
We left our cars and took the jitney, $2 each way. Certainly an easy way to get around.
All in all, we had a good time, but that was due to the company, not the hotel. Would I stay there again? For $59 a night, you bet.

We stayed at the Trump Marina for a Four night long weekend in the middle of May. My Wife and I are in our late 20's and had a few other couples with us. We have stayed in AC 5 or 6 times before usually on the boardwalk. You can catch the the Jitney for $2 to the boardwalk, we always caught the #2. Overall we enjoyed the hotel with no issues distracting from our general enjoyment of our trip. We would stay here again if the price or comps was right and could not book something on the boardwalk.

The Rooms:In our room we had two twin or queen beds, while or friends had gotten Kings. The room we had like or friends was nice and mostly clean and comfortable. The bathrooms had nice Tile and stone appointments with a small coffee maker on the counter. The hotel does have a basic gym with nice treadmill and bikes with TV's on them. They also have a good free weights set with some traditional multi-cable type machines.

The food: This was a mixed bag with mostly good entrees at the Harbourside and a overpriced buffet for what you get. Don't get us wrong it wasn't bad and most of our food there was comped. We felt the quality of the food just wasn't up to par with others. For example one night we ordered a jumbo shrimp cocktail shrimp was far from jumbo and looked about like the same they serve on the buffet.

Gaming: We had a good time gaming and found it to generally be good. While some with us thought the slots were tight on the payout. The most any of us came back with was a hundred or so extra so nothing big. Drink service was hit or miss sometimes I had two drinks in my hand other times it was hours and didn't have one.

If you head to the board walk and you should. Be sure to check out the new Pier shopping complex by Caesars it really nice with top name brand shops, and nice restaurants and bars on the third level.

I live within a half-hour's drive of AC, and this is my favorite place of all of them. While many rave about Borgata, I find it cold, and the buffet so-so at best. Trump Marina might need a bit of a facelift, but I find it comfortable and clean. Reading about some of the room complaints truly surprised me.

I was checking in on a comped room, and was pleasantly surprised when offered a free upgrade to a suite. Needless to say, I grabbed it. I've seen the high-roller suites at Resorts and at the Trop before the addition of the Quarter ( and, like in this instance, by luck, not by being a high roller myself), and I will say that I found the Marina's suite superior.

It was excellent. It was stereotypical Trump-Goldplate or goldtone fixtures, heavy on the gold colors, etc. It was nicely appointed and had a jacuzzi in the living room. I couldn't help but chuckle as I walked through it, knowing what people have paid to stay in accomodations like this, yet the Gods (or the clerks) smiled on me and made it mine for a night.

While a chaise lounge in the suite was a bit threadbare, it was extremely comfortable. Room service was a bit slow due to events going on and a packed house, but when it did get there, everything was great. Two bathrooms, one with a glass stalled shower, the other with a tub and shower, were extremely convenient. The television operated at the foot of the bed with a button that retracted the TV into the furniture.

The buffet is better than Resorts' buffet, not as good as Taj but still very good, and I've become a cold shrimp snob. I just don't like it unless it's the way the Trump properties make them. The Upstairs Cafe is also very convenient, and good.

The pool is nice, and the health club facility, while not huge, has everything you might want if you need a break from the gaming. While I can't say I'd spend out-of-pocket to stay in the suite again (because free room offers from all the casinos come along), I am extremely glad to have stayed there, and that upgrade definitely turned me on to bringing the bulk of my business there.

  • Liked — The luxury.
  • Disliked — That the luxury was only mine for one night. :)
