We stayed at the Sheraton from September 9-11. We were on the Club floor. The first room we had 1521 still had soap in the shower from the previous guest. We called and were offered a second room. The second room, 1519 had a large red stain on the floor between the beds and was generally dirty. Now we were getting upset. The manager came up and we all went to the third room, 1515 which was fine. We were credited $50 and were sent up a nice selection of snacks. The Club Lounge was great for breakfast and afternoon snacks. In fact, we had a hot breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon on the second morning of our stay. Keep in mind that it was only supposed to be a continental breakfast.

The beds were comfortable, the shower had good pressure and the room was quiet. It was convenient to the convention center. It was approximately four blocks from the boardwalk, but it was not a long walk. We felt perfectly safe both during the day and at night.

The management was very responsive to our concerns with the first two rooms. Yes, it is correct that the rooms should be right in the first place, but they responded appropriately and quickly.

We tried our luck at Caesar's, Trump Plaza, Harrah's and Borgata. We liked the theming in Harrah's but felt the Borgata was the best.

If you are going to the convention center, the Sheraton is very convenient. We will stay there again next year when the convention returns.

I stayed here over Labor Day weekend because I wanted to see if all of the reviews were true. I have stayed at Harrah's, Ceasar's, the Tropicana, and the Hilton. By far, this hotel was the worst. Maybe I just had superior room types at those locations, but my assessment is that for the little extra money, I should of stayed at one of those places.

First - I didn't get the room type I paid for. Being allergic to cats and dogs I asked and paid for a room that doesn't allow pets. The room I was put in defintely had a dog in it. I could see dog hairs everywhere, slobber marks all over the bottom of the dust ruffle, and paw prints on the glass on the window. Additionally, the room was a mess. There were hairs in the shower and on the furniture everywhere. I am also highly allergic to mold and the bathroom had pink and black mold growing all over it. When I called down about it, I asked for some cleaner for the shower, even offering to clean it myself. They said they would send someone up but about five minutes later they called back and said they were aware of the problem but it needed a steam cleaner to come off. They offered me a new room, but it was on the same floor. I told them I wanted to see the room before I moved all of my stuff. They came up and showed me the new room and it had the SAME exact problem. I showed them the mold and the housekeeping manager said: "excuse me ma'am but where- I don't see it." I was wondering if he was blind because it was bright pink in all of the grout and corners and black mold on the tiles. After showing him all he said was: "Oh."

I asked to be on a new floor and was told they were sold out. No other offer, no other solution for me.

Then-- the pool was closed Monday night and Tuesday for some work, so we couldn't use that. It didn't look like we were missing much anyway.

Last, I didn't like the location. There were a # of shady people walking around there at night back to the train station and it was a far walk back from the boardwalk when its late and your tired.

  • Liked — The price
  • Disliked — The dirty rooms - I guess you get what you pay for.

Just returned from my first visit to Atlantic City staying at the Sheraton Atlantic City for two nights using Starwood points. From check in to check out everything was great. We stayed on the club level which provided breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres. I was pleasantly surprised that in addition to the regular continental fare provided both mornings, the club level offered a hot entree (bacon, egg and cheese sandwich one day, waffles and sausage the next.) The room was generous in size and very clean. In finding out my trip was for a guest that was celebrating her 50th birthday, the guest received a birthday card signed by the staff, a balloon and a couple of gifts. That generous gesture went beyond my expectations. The hotel's "Shoe Bar" was unique (shoes of various Ms. America pagent contestants) and the two bartenders were very helpful in answering our questions about various places and the distances from the hotel to those places. In fact, I found all of the staff to be very friendly. The hotel is one block from the outlets and a few from the Boardwalk (easy walking right up Michigan Avenue.) In fact, we walked back to the hotel near midnight on Saturday night and felt safe. In addition to the hotel restaurants, there are several close by at the outlets including an Applebees, Ruby Tuesdays and a McDonalds. We had picture perfect weather, so we walked everywhere. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again on my next visit.

We stayed here for 1 night and it was OK: the hotel is in a good location, next to the Outlet and close to the Boardwalk. There are restaurants nearby.
The hotel has an indoor pool and outdoor whirlpool (both rather small), which is great if the weather is nice.
The room was big, but a bit worn down (wallpaper, bathroom tiles) and the walls were paper thin: we could actually hear the neighbours discuss their night of gambling at 23:45 in the evening, not so good if you're trying to get some sleep.

I wouldn't stay here again, but rather give another hotel for a comparable price a shot.

  • Liked — Location, close to outlet shopping and the boardwalk.
  • Disliked — Noisy rooms due to thin walls.

As a family with a toddler, we enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton because the room was very clean and spacious, and the king sized bed was very comfortable. Check in was quick and friendly. Check out was easy. Parking was reasonable ($12) but a bit awkward.

My 2 complaints are regarding guest services and the housekeeping. I called the morning of our arrival to request that a crib be placed in our room. I had to make 3 more requests to have a crib brought to our room; each time they said they'd bring it right away, but by the time we finally got it, it was way after my son's bedtime. We had also tried to call the front desk and guest services, and we let the phone ring for literally 10-15 minutes (I had to finally leave it on speaker while I unpacked since my arm was getting tired), but there was no answer.

We liked the hotel because it was far enough from the casinos to be quiet and calm. However, the housekeeping staff in the morning was extremely loud- the doors seemed to be slamming non-stop!

The pool was fairly small and crowded, but fun for kids.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay given the reasonable price we paid. (about $100 including taxes on Priceline).
