Sheraton Inn Miss America Way, Atlantic City.
Date: August 4th-6th.
Room 1148
My experience on a three day conference.
The sink drained very slowly and the toilet handle hung up and didn't flush properly. Friday night buffet-- both soup containers, bone dry! Had to beg for coffee. First cup of coffee was cold.Saturday breakfast--Fair and skimmpy. Saturday dinner and coctails---Two bartenders for 265 people. twelve and thirteen deep, waiting for a drink. Needless to say, my wife and I didn't get a drink. I guess it worked for management. Now to the dinner---I got a little extra, Not quite half way through my meal I noticed a long black hair on my plate. That finished my meal. Next came the dessert and 'bout 20 minutes later came the coffee. Sunday breakfast 9 to 10:30 ---WoW what a limited buffet! Began taking food away from the buffet table at 10:15.
Sunday morning after breakfast, complained to the manager and he had all the answers. You won't see me again, too many other hotels. lwg

I stayed at the Sheraton as a last mintue thing. I was able to reserve a room for two, three hours before I arrived. Check in was fast, as well as check out.
I did not eat in the hotel.
I was in room 752. The beds were wonderful. You will love sleeping on them.
The room did need few touch ups such as the bottom dresser draw opens with the middle draw (which does not have one knob), the wall paper in the bathroom needed to be glued, it was falling off. The toliet takes two hard flushes to go down.
The pool is okay. It is only 4 feet but, it is quiet. The gym is very cold so take a sweater until you warm up.
The self parking is $10.00 a day (they give you a ticket to use for parking) and it is a walk from the hotel (under the convention center).
If you are going to walk to the Boardwalk put your sneakers on, it is a distance. The front of the hotel faces away from the boardwalk so you have to walk around the hotel first then you start to go toward the boardwalk. There is a shopping center right around the block from the hotel.
Since this hotel is off the boardwalk and a few blocks away it is very quite in the area.
If you do not want to be charged for the newspaper ($.75) in the morning, call front desk and let them know not to send you a paper. If you do not wish to be charged for the water ($3.50) in the room, buy your own. There are CVS, Walgreens and dollar stores for you to buy anything you might need before 8pm.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I hope this helps. It really is not a bad hotel.

  • Liked — Beds, staff
  • Disliked — toliet, distance to boardwalk
  • Tips/Secrets: — bring sneakers if you plan to walk to boardwalk.

For those of you who do not gamble or at least don't make gambling the centerpiece of your travels, then the Sheraton provides a welcome respit from the casino hotels on the Boardwalk. The hotel lobby and other common areas were spotless, and the rooms were clean, although a bit on the small size even by chain hotel standards. The people working the front desk were cordial and efficient, as were the bellmen.

The hotel is five blocks from the Boardwalk, and between the two is an outdoor shopping plaza that contains "discount" outlets for many of the well-known clothing designers.

The hotel does have an onsite restaurant that serves breakfast, but not lunch or dinner. Getting coffee and a menu was a bit of a challenge and service for the most part was inattentive.

Located in the same building, but not part of the hotel itself is the "Tun Tavern." which serves food and drink from 11:30 a.m. until after midnight, depending upon the crowd. The Tun Tavern is also a brewery, and produces several very good to excellent beers and ales. Although the food is decent, the waitstaff is slow and unattentive, and after eating several meals and drinking many beers at the place, I'm conviced that the sole qualifiaction for geting a job as a waitress or bartender is to have great legs and well-developed chest muscles.

I just stayed 2 nights at the Sheraton Atlantic City. This was my first trip to Atlantic City, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the Sheraton. While this hotel is not right on the boardwalk, it is still in a convenient location. Across the street are the outlet stores which make a pleasant walk to the boardwalk - about 5 blocks... The hotel check in was super fast and everyone working there was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, and smelled fresh. We had a nice view of the Borgata from our window on the 14th floor. I had no problems or issues at all and would definitely stay there again.

I've always been a fan of the Sheraton, but as of late I've been disappointed with their Hotel. I was in AC the weekend before the 4th and I stayed at the Sheraton for one night. The staff was great and I say that because without a reservation I had a speedy check in and check out. It was virtually a smoke-free hotel with just one smoking floor (which is a plus if you don’t smoke). The VIP treatment that I got at the Marriot must have still been lingering because when I walked in the room. I felt like a sack of potatoes had just fallen on my pinky toe.

The room just looked normal and dark and almost dingy to me. The room was clean, but it just didn’t seem clean and the bath room was also clean, but it just didn’t feel clean. I assessed the room; knew that I after a half night of sleep I was checking ASAP the next day and wouldn’t be staying there again until they did a major spring cleaning. I did try to sleep under the covers as I did the night before in NYC at the Residence Inn, but instead I had itchy feelings, meaning something wasn’t right with the bedding. I got up and pulled the covers back over the bed and slept in my pants and shirt on top of the comforter. So sad, because I have had good times at the Sheraton.
