I agree with the last couple of reviews. The hotel is very nice, centrally located. I didn't mind the walk to the boardwalk, but I like walking and it was a nice hotel. What I did mind was the customer service. I was quoted a high price when I went to check into the hotel, so I punched up Travelocity and found the room to be $60 per night cheaper, so we stayed. We stayed two nights total. I had originally thought of this hotel because it was pet friendly, so we called to check out the pet policy, only one dog per room, but up to 80 pounds, what about two little dogs that don't weigh 40 pounds combined. The gentleman on the phone was very rude and even hung up on me when I questioned him and asked to speak to a manager. I did call back to talk to someone else, and they said that they would override that policy for me for the weekend if I wished. I declined to bring my dogs just in case.
After checking out I realized that the hotel had put a pre-authorization onto my credit card, which was higher than my room bill, and my room was prepaid by Travelocity. That didn't make any sense. After 9 phone calls later, I finally got to leave a message. The next day no one called me back so I called again and talked to someone in accounting that reversed the pre-auth and released my card.
Also got charged for internet which we never used, that did get reversed as well. In a hotel like that, the internet access should be free, everyone else is doing it.
Overall this was a very nice hotel, and we would probably stay there again depending on if we ever make a trip to Atlantic City again, but we won't look out for overly attentive staff, and will double-check our bill.
The hotel is in great condition and the beds are comfortable.
Look online for values.
