“Great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

Me and my girlfriend arrived exhausted in San Andres after a plane delay. Once the taxi took us to the hotel we were both well received by the receptionist. We enjoyed delicious breakfast, the overall value of the hotel was very good compared to Decameron's (their guests have to pay extra for wifi conection). The only downside was that we stayed there for 4 nights and we had to ask for product replacement (shampoo, soap, toilet paper) because the cleaning maids didn't do this and we think the bed sheets weren't changed also. Apart from that we always felt comfortable there. Well done!!

We have been to San Andres Island many times, but have always stayed at All Inclusive resorts on the island. This trip we decided to try something different and stay at Noblehouse hotel instead. We wanted more of a quieter, downtown experience, and I have to say, I doubt we will ever stay at an All Inclusive resort there again! We absolutely LOVED this little 15 room hotel! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt like part of a "family". We were welcomed with open arms and even though we speak very little Spanish that was not an issue. The room we stayed in was BETTER quality and comfort than the last All Inclusive we stayed at, the beds far more comfortable, the linens and towels much cleaner and not as worn, and the rooms cleaned so much better (and faster) than we have ever experienced on the island, a bar fridge, and never once did we run out of HOT water or air conditioning. No doors slamming or rowdy guests screaming at each other at 3 am was a bonus for us! We had a room with a very small balcony (only three of these) facing the busy street, but loved it as we could have coffee and listen to and watch the island waking up in the morning. Then go for what we consider a full breakfast (fruit, coffee juice, several types of egg dishes to choose from, toast cereal---perfect to get your day going.) No, there is not a pretty view of beaches and palm trees, but a 2 minute walk from the hotel front door puts you right on the boardwalk of the main beach downtown, right in the middle of everything. If we wanted to go our for dinner, there are places to eat everywhere within a short walk. And recommendations from staff were excellent! (Try Eli---brand new---WONDERFUL!) Or we could just sit on the boardwalk in the evening and people watch with NO cares at all. Of all of our visits to this lovely island, this trip was our best yet---a lot of this having to do with our accommodations, staff and location. Safe, comfortable, secure, clean, welcoming and unique! We are already looking forward to next year. Thank you Jannethe and Arthuro.

Room Tip: Room 5 has a small balcony overlooking the street---some occasional "street noise" at nigh...

We only spent one night here on the way back from Providencia and enjoyed our stay. The room was sweet, very clean and the shower powerful and hot. The staff were really friendly too. Personally I think it's slightly overpriced but that could just be by general Colombia standards and not San Andres.

Me and my girl stayed at this hotel was quiet nice very friendly and accomodating. The staff gave some excellant recommendations on places to eat on the isalnd. The breakfast was very nice a traditional colombian style breakfast. The hotel does show some age but they keep it clean and and they are very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would suggest you to fishermans to eat its not fancy at all but you wont get a better fresh home style cooked meal than this place. You literally select your fish as the fisherman bring in the boats and they will cook it for you along with all the sides and drink .

Very impressed by the staff. Made me feel very welcome. Nothing was too much to ask. Breakfast nice, room comfortable. Location was great, just a two minute walk from the beach. I find it incredible that some people can complain about the hotel and island. I have traveled extensively across the world and Caribbean and this has to be one of the most charming hotels and islands around. Johnny Key is great, the fresh fish and seafood (must check out fisherman's place restaurant). When i return to San Andres i will return to this Gem of a hotel.

I just returned from San Andres. I was originally staying at a apartment that fell through. All that was left in high season was here. I was upset that it neither had a pool or beach front. But I got to say I liked it. Front desk was always very very nice. The guy at night and women in morning so pleasant. Free breakfast was better then most I ever had. Rooms were small but ok. Fridge, LCD TV, good AC. In fact to good. Had to get it just right not to freeze. Centrally located. Beach was only two blocks. All my ATM's and restaurants I like right there. My favorite night club on 6th floor two blocks away. I had a problem with rate and they actually listened and ruled in my favor. That never happens to me.

Room Tip: Do the snorkeling tour with manarays. Go into the aquarium hotel. On left is activities office 120...

This island was recommended to us by Colombian friends and I do not know what they were thinking. Everything is expensive, the restaurants are disgusting fast food places, the streets and beaches are dirty, full of stray dogs. The town is full of crappy stores selling suitcases, perfumes and electronics. Many stores are empty. The weather is frequently rainy and lots of wind. I do not know why anyone comes here at all, there are so many really nice beaches in Central America and Mexico.
The hotels are pricey for what you get. What a dump. We spent 4 nights in November 2012 and could not wait to get out of here - worst place we have ever been. The hotel people were nice and tried hard to accommodate us. This place has pseudo-Middle Eastern decor - what's up with that? I am normally a pretty low maintenance traveler - but this place is just not good value. One block from the dirty beach, with total lack of charm. My recommendation: Avoid the whole island - it needs some serious repairs and maintenance.

Room Tip: all rooms are super noisy - bring ear plugs if you like to sleep
