On a recent two-week vacation to San Andres Island, my wife and I decided to split our stay between hotels in the town and on the beach further down the island. While staying in town at Hotel Delfines (a mid-range hotel with a nice pool that we recommend), we visited the Cocoplum and negotiated a great deal for room and meals - seven days for the price of six and 10% off for paying cash. When we arrived, though, the manager persistently tried to renege on the deal ... he claimed that the 10% discount didn't apply because they were giving us a night free (we won that argument, probably because we were willing to leave is they didn't honour the deal) and, on our last day, he refused to provide us meals on our "free" day. Because the hotel is far from any other resturant, this left us hungry and ruined what had otherwise been a pleasant stay (the hotel is acutally quite nice - on the beach, good food, friendly staff - but incredibly hard beds). So, if you decide to stay here, get everything in writing and expect lies, rudeness and disrespect from the management. Frankly, its just no worth the aggravation because there are plenty of other options on the island.
