Hotel Portobelo Plaza was lovely - simple, not fancy or luxurious, but exactly what my group needed to make for a very comfortable stay on San Andres. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating for my group, which tracked in mud and cement each day after a day of exhausting construction work. The owner Carlos did everything he could to make our stay pleasant, and the delightful wait staff had smiles every day, even with our countless requests for water or mojitos! Food was great, always a very filling meal, and mmmmm, arepas every morning! **Air conditioning remotes are available if you ask nicely, not sure why reviewer above had difficulty getting one. Internet availability was a little spotty in the restaurant, but it is a developing country, I don't expect 24/7 access.
