“great food and atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

We love the guac and plantains and their salads are delicious. Rico, the owner, is fun and makes all the customers feel at home! We have taken many people there in the past and will continue to do so in the future!

“Exceptional Food and Service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

We were there on a Friday night early since it was raining all day. The food is a Latin/ Spanish Fusion type Restaurant. They don't have a liquor license but you can byob and they will gladly convert your red wine to a delicious Sangria. There are great appetizers particularly the chorezos and fried plantains. I particularly like their flank steaks and pyaeas. Their deserts are fabulous. You must speak to Rico one of the most friendly owners of a restaurant I have ever met, he will definitely make you feel like you are at home in his restaurant. If you forget your booze you can either buy some down the block or go next door to the new place Freddy Macs grab a drink or two and go right back to "Bistro Ole !".

“Over priced...in Asbury Park, NJ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

The staff was curteous and the food was good...however it was over priced for what was served...much better values are found elsewhere.

“Great Saturday night dinner for four!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012

Thanks Ole---- We will be back! A great dinner for four of us. We had perfect timing, & no wait on a beautiful Saturday night. Fantastic, friendly servers. We got good tips for openers, and dinners. Everything is cooked to order. Not a fast meal, but a good one. BYOB too.
Asbury Park is certainly on an upswing, and restaurants like Bistro Ole help bring more people to this great city on the Jersey Shore.
Thanks again.
Cheers!--------Ken

“Excellent Service, average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2012

Being that we were in the mood for Spanish/Latin infused food, and loving the restaurants we've tried so far in Asbury, we opted for Ole. We were eagerly greated and seated immediately in the "back" dining room....which was empty....but filled up quickly. Our waiter was fantastic...very familiar with the menu and took the time to recommend different dishes. We are all about GREAT bread pre-dinner and were disappointed. Appetizers were so so - I got the plaintain appetizer which was like eating potato chips. Our entrees were very good and very big. I got the 'signature' chicken dish. Once again...I think the service outweighed the food for the price. We may return....but will be looking for other Spanish/Latin options in the area.
