“Fun local bar in Asbury Park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012 via mobile

As other reviewers wrote, a lot of locals hang out here. Good music, great beer prices (bucket of nips was $8). Have to try the burgers next time.
Outside area could use some updates like new lights or fresh paint, but good enough for smoking.
People were very friendly. Location is close to other bars and restaurants. Plenty of street parking. Would def. check out again in future.

“Good Grub Good Prices, so so service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2012

Great burgers! The patty melt burger is so good. a grilled cheese with a burger in the middle, cooked in butter. Beer served in mason jars. discount for multiple glasses! Very small always crowded. Cash only which is fine. Bartenders go from one extreme to the other. very freindly and attentive to "I am sooo above this" attitude. one bartender stood 3 feet away when we sat down and only came over when we called to him and he had this attitude like i have to serve you?. bvut if you can get past that the burgers are cheap and good and the beer is cold.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

This is NOT a fancy place - mason jars and great beer - all locals so be prepared - but also be prepared for hand down the BEST burger you can get at the Shore - went for St Patty's Day - 6 people 6 Burgers and fries --total cost $40.00 how can you go wrong.

“One Strike, will try it again”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2012

Went to the bond street last night with a group of friends. I got there first with two others. All three were carded. Each one of us in our thirties, two of us Mexican. When the other 4 people arrived not one of them was carded and 3 of them were in thier early twenties. The place is very small when we got there it felt like we just stepped into one of those old westerns, we were clearly not regular patrons and we knew it right away. This is a good place for locals who want to pretend to be unique. Bottom line, very small place, nothing great about it. Burgers overcooked, over seasoned..nothing to rave about. We will go back mainly to see if maybe it was just an off night.

“Fun if you're flexible”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2012

Bond Street is the 'go to' place for locals. If you're looking for a toursity seafood place, this is not it. If you are looking for the best grilled cheese, wine served in mason glasses and the opportunity to share space (Bond Street is TINY and crowded with fun people) then this is your spot. We go here when we want to relax with good comfort food and to meet new friends.
