We couldn't fault our stay at In House - our room was spotless, breakfast great and the wifi was free and fast. The staff were very helpful (although the receptionist who checked us in didn't speak English but we managed to get by with our very basic Spanish). The manager/owner went out of her way to suggest a mini tour of the city so we could see the main attractions in Medellin and she also suggested a great restaurant where we sampled some local dishes.
The area around the hotel is lovely with lots of cafés, bars, restaurants and boutique shops but it is also very easy explore the rest of the city by the metro. There is metro station about 10-15 minutes from the hotel. The walk back from the station to the hotel is all up hill but there are plenty of street food places on the way where you can stop and catch your breath.
If we visit Medellin again we will definitely stay here.
