“Boutique style meets the enchantment of Cartagena”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

My experience was completely flawless. This place is what I like to call a hidden gem. It was not only chic, but the service and cleanliness was impeccable. His staff Manuela and Epifania are amazing. I would totally recommend for anyone that wants a real experience, in a magical city. The hotel has total attention to detail, and whoever stays will be mesmerized. I will stay with them in the future when visiting Cartagena. Highly recommend it!

My husand spent a couple of days in Cartagena and was lucky enough to find this gem of a place in the center of old town. You absolutely can not beat the location which is a leasure stroll to anywhere in the old town. The neighborhood plaza is so cute with several cafes and restaurants to to sit and enjoy the ambiance of the place. We were put in the "Santori room" which was unique in everyway. The upstairs bathroom had an open shower surrounded by mango trees and the room was equipped with a big screen tv, mac computer, books, dvds, and fridge. We really enjoyed the private patio outside our room to sit around in the evening. If you have difficulties climbing stairs make sure you let them know not to put you in one of the rooms on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Next time I go to Cartagena this is my go to place!

Room Tip: Romantic getaway, ask for the Santorini Room.

We used les lezards as a base for our stay in Colombia. The rooms were very well appointed and breakfast every morning was delicious. Marcos was very helpful in getting us a rental car and giving advise for say excursions around Cartagena. I'd highly recommend this place!

I was fortunate to stay at Les Lezards for a few days and had a great experience. A comfortable, clean, quiet and lovely space; the B&B style, and Marcus, the owner and his staff, go to all lengths to make you feel at home. I went solo with no itinerary and Marcus helped me pinpoint the best spots to visit and eat. He never steered me wrong. I loved the area of Getsemani as well; artsy, hip and relaxed, this area had great vivacity at night and was a welcome break from the tourist crowd of the Old Town. Breakfast every morning, comfort and privacy, a small pool/jacuzzi and rooftop chill out area made this B&B a top notch stay in a fun and relaxed city. Can't wait to return!!

Room Tip: I stayed in the Afrique room and it was perfect!! Great for one person or a couple. Although each ro...

Marcus and the staff are really helpful and kind. The hotel is in an old house, very cozy. It is located in Getsemani, which is a popular neighborhood but it is very safe. It is good to stay away from the crowds of the old town, but still in a walkable distance from most of tourist attractions.

TIP: The hotel is really difficult to find, given that it is located in a very small street. If possible, ask for airport pick up.

We had a great experience at Les Lezards from the time we arrived in Cartagena and were met at the airport to our departure. Markus could not have been more helpful and all his suggestions were spot on. Just outside the walls of the centro, the location is great for walking and the neighborhood has a refreshing authenticity away from all the vendors. The hot tub upstairs is a great place to rest younweary bones at the end of a long day. The ladies who work there are very pleasant.

Room Tip: We actually had a small sitting room with TV off the bedroom and it was nice to have the extra space...

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights and 3 days. Make sure you have the full address if taking Marsol, as we were dropped off about 4 blocks away and had to walk with our luggage. Luckily a wonderful young man helped us find it on the map and showed us the way. It's definitely a little tricky to find as it's tucked nicely way. Once there we were taken up a very narrow, steep staircase (my husband being 6'2" almost didn't fit), but the room was beautiful and filled with character. Such a unique room made Cartagena all the more memorable for us. We did not spend too much time at the guest house since we wanted to explore and fit as much in to the 3 days as possible, but Marcus was great with recommendations on restaurants and things to do. We definitely enjoyed the Getsemani area for the bars, restaurants and sense of community. Can't wait to return.
