Unless you're doing business at the ports, this isn't somewhere you'd want to stay. The price is low but the rooms are noisy with traffic (even with all the windows closed and shuttered it sound like I'm right on the street), the hotel needs some rennos, the service wasn't all that friendly, and although the taps have hot water adjustments, there is no hot water to speak of. I suppose they are doing rennos by the sounds of it, they started around 8 AM this morning so don't plan on sleeping in in the near term. The maid was banging on my door at 8:30 even though I check out today and check out time is 2 PM (which is obviously a nice feature).
The obvious benefit is the price, quite cheap although I've stayed in private rooms at hostels for less that offered more. The internet is usable as well, which isn't always a given in hotels. There's a kokriko next door but otherwise you're probably going to want to cab to the old town for dinner/evenings which will cost about $10 there and back.
