I only stayed for 1 night at this hotel after traveling to Nanchong for 5 hours, to and fro. By the time I get to the hotel it was already 830ish in the evening. The hotel had a mixed-up of putting me together with my lady supervisor at first, then later putting her with someone she doesn't know but the hotel said worked in the same company as ours. It was strange because we had our travels applied separately but for budget reasons the hotel arranged them without informing our office.
The location of the hotel, I think is so-so. There is a Mall and Park-n-Shop store approximately 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel, with a 24 Hour McDonald's. Not a lot of place to eat around and I did not try to eat dinner at their restaurant because I will have breakfast there anyway the following morning. The rooms are clean if you take the non-smoking rooms. I an assuming that the smoking rooms will be reeking with cigarette smoke and the smell of MaoTai because when I took the elevators up to the rooms. I could hardly hold my breath with that nauseating alcohol scent and fumes from those who smoked while in the elevator.
Pleasantly enough, the rooms have their own computers with free internet, a small water dispenser with heater and a weighing scale for over-weight Chinese guests which I know is rare. Also, it is also good to know the shower stall is made of glass but frosted on the side facing the bed so it won't be awkward if one ends up sharing a room with a colleague.
