We recently stayed three nights at the hotel, most of it was good but.....
We arrived in Chengdu at 11pm after traveling for over 12 hours, so to say we were tired was an understatement. It was very frustraing trying to find the hotel as there is no signage on the outside of the building. Also, once we found the building there was no sign anywhere saying to go to the 24th floor for check in. It stated to go to room 2411 on our room confirmation but it was in Chinese so I was not able to read this information. Luckily there was a chinese couple at the elevator that spoke english and were able to read our confirmation and direct us to the 24th floor.
I am not quite as satisfied as many of the other people that have rated this hotel. At first glance the room looks very nice, close to the photos but upon closer inspection the room is not as clean as it should be and it is starting to show wear and tear. I know beds in Asia can be on the hard side but could feel the springs in our bed. There is TV with approx. 60 channels but only one in English. It would have been nice to have CNN or other English news channels. Don't get me wrong I'm not expecting thing to be like they are in Canada. I know this is not a 5 star hotel but I do expect a certain level of cleanliness even in 3 star hotel.
The internet is free but very, very slow and not overly reliable. To be honest I would have preferred to pay and have quicker more reliable internet.
Don't know if we'd return to this hotel.

We stayed here at our recent China trip. The hotel has no visible sign outside and we had problems finding it but other than that it is a great hotel. The rooms are very large and have a kitchenette along with washing machine attached to it. There is oddly only a glass wall separating the shower area from the toilet. It is conveniently located for taxis and shops. The hotel managers speak very limited English and we used google translator to communicate.

I would definitely recommend this hotel looking for quality budget accommodation in Chengdu.

The rooms are excellent, pretty much as pictured here. Though there is a faint smokey smell but it's tolerable for the great value.

All the rooms have queen beds so if you're not comfortable sleeping in the same bed as your travel companion, I'd give it a miss. Especially since the bathrooms, oddly only have glass walls with only a thin curtain for privacy. Bathrooms have western style toilet and it is very clean.

All the rooms are on one of the higher floors and they views from the apartments are great. i didn't use the facilities but there was a kettle, toaster and a washing machine. There is also free wi-fi in every room.

The staff here speak very limited English, I speak broken Mandarin, so we managed. The service is splendid, they organised us a driver to Emei Shan and offered loads of advice on the local area. Location is great as well, close to many shops and good restaurants. Recommended.

There is quite a number of "Impression" hotels in Chengdu and actually I don't understand what it exactly means! I suppose they refer to the more "basic" and "value-for-money" local hotel chains? Before booking into this apartment hotel, like most of you, we have gone thru' the reviews and decided to give it a go as it ranked No.7 on Tripadvisor and the price is fairly reasonable - RMB249 per night. The hotel occupies several floors in a new building with no sign hanging outside but the guard standing outside is more than happy to show you the entrance. The hotel location is about 10 minutes walk to the shopping area, Chunxi Road and 20 minutes to Chengdu South Tourist Bus station (to Panda Base). Speaking of facilities, the hotel is very modern and spacious and you can even do your washing in the room as there is a washing machine! But if there are two of you, make sure you don't mind sleeping on the same bed because ALL their rooms have one King bed and there is NO twin rooms, and adding a bed is not an option. The reception staff, Mr Yang and co, are very friendly and helpful. We left some old clothes and shoes beside the bin for disposal and received an email on the same day telling us that we have left behind something, and we were asked about how to return the items to us! That's excellent service! Surely, we will stay there again in our next visit to Chengdu.
