“The wind and the surf”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Scenic, inspiring. Awesome waves crashing onto the rocky beach. Soak in the sights with good cup of hot coffee.

“Must see but very crowded”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012 via mobile

As it is a famous landmark (the Tsingtao beer logo) you should pay a visit and make some pictures from afar. The pier itself is very crowded and filled with beggars and people who want to take your picture for money. Remarkable is the large amount of people walking the dry sea bed during ebtide to find some seafood.

“Qingdao's landmark”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

Big big crowds will go there during weekends where you cannot go to the pavilion. Visit there during weekdays. There is an underground food court nearby. Also, very near to Zhanqiao is the Postal Museum built by the Germans. On the 2/F and 3/F there are precious old photos and collections of telephones and others during German and Japanese occupation. If you visit these 2 floors, you have to pay admission fee of RMB25.
