The hotel is centrally located, close to Taiyuan Street (pedestrian shopping street) and the Shenyang Railway Station. The closest station of the new Shenyang Metro (Taiyuan Street Station) is also close by.
The hotel building is on Zhonghua Road (a major street), but the entrance is on a small back street that is closed off at one end with improvised barricades. It was difficult for our taxi driver to find and he actually had to drive up on the sidewalk around a barricade to get to the hotel entrance.
The hotel lobby, main restaurant (serving breakfast) and café are all located on the 8th floor. We arrived quite late at night and there were no staff on the ground floor, to assist with baggage, etc.
The room looked quite nice at first sight. However, I quickly noticed that is was not very clean and seemed a bit worn overall. This was a bit disappointing, as the hotel is only a few years old. Housekeeping was not very good during the stay and some trash in the corner of the bathroom remained there for 3 days of our stay. The carpet in the room was filthy. There was free internet in the room, which is always nice. This seems to be standard in most hotel in China, these days (though not most International brand hotels).
The breakfast buffet was not very appealing. Nearly all of the choices were Chinese/Asian breakfast items, although fried eggs and some sausages were available, along with some breakfast pastries.
Overall, I think there are much better choices at similar prices in the area, or within 10 minutes on the Metro.
