“Scenes for a long walk”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2014

Many people recommended me to spend some time over this place. Took a taxi instead of having a long walk. The whole road is long enough for you to watch the sunset. New cafe and shops plus accommodation places are increasing. But if you really have to walk, the traffic is a bit too much for joggers. A coastal drive would be better and you have to bear with constructions as china is having many places undergoing development for rails and bridges by these years.

“It's alright”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

A coastal drive but with average sights. The locals normally walk along the road for exercise. There is a story behind the creation of the road and is always included in the city tour package but I think the outskirts of Dalian has more to offer.

“I liked the undeveloped version better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

Binhai lu used to be almost a bit of wild undeveloped nature area. Not so anymore. You have great views of the sea, and greenery and flowers. Now this looks more like a park, or resort. Nice enough, and there are now clean beaches and a fair amounts of restaurants and coffee shops to use along the way. If you are in Dalian, it is worth to come here.

“Only if you nothing else to do”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2014

We commenced the walk at Zinghai Square and by Fujiazhuang Park we were over it. Not much to see other than the side of a road and a very average coastline with a dirty looking pebble/sand beach. Construction work is also underway on a new bridge which obscures a lot of the view to the ocean, but if you are interested in bridge building, this may be the best part to see.

Perhaps it would be nicer at a different time of year, but if you have an extra day to kill then you are much better going to Lushun to learn about the Russian / Japanese occupation of the area.

“15km of wildness”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2014

Very nice walk, at any time of the year. Easily accessible from the city or directly from the main Xinghai squaare. Very beautiful seaview, especially in autumn and winter. Can be foggy in summer and crowded in the weekend. One of the nicest places of Dalian.
