“Covered Walkway! Stay dry!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Beautiful & well maintained. Also has a covered walkway meaning you can visit the gardens on a rainy day and still stay dry. I particularly enjoyed the range of Bonsai trees, never seen any that big! Entrance was 40Y.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

The Lingering Garden was a beautiful and historic place and gave us a glimpse of the past and the life of especially the women. Very well kept buildings and lovely floral displays.

“Serenity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

The Lingering Garden of Suzhou is beautiful and serene, it would have to be one of the loveliest gardens in China. Every direction from any position is a potential calendar photo. The garden is from the Ming Dynasty, so it is very old. It has many buildings throughout the garden with lots of antiques. The main garden incorporates a beautiful lake surrounded by bridges, walkways, trees and fantastic rock formations, nearby two musicians, dressed in traditional clothes, are in one of the open air buildings playing old Chinese instruments. Another garden has hundreds of ancient bonsai trees. It truly is a wonderful garden.

“Rich in culture and history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

We visited the Lingering gardens with a tour in January 2013 and even though there were a lot of trees and flowers out of seeason the beauty of this site is amazing. Hidden behind walls in a very average part of the city it is an oasis of plant life and beautiful water gardens. From old column bases from destroyed homes when the japanese invaded to bunzi trees and 150 to 200 year old trees you feel completely out of touch with the hustle and bustle of the shops and boulevard just on the other side of the walls.

“Small but Beatiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

This pretty little garden is a delight in April with the newly flowering plants. Like all sites in China weekday visits are much better than weekends.
