“Not impressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2014

I was convinced by friend from mainland to visit this attraction, knowing this place had made a movie and it is very romantic. Not knowing what I was getting myself into I agreed to go. Upon arriving this place, I realized it is extremely hot and humid. Then from there nothing but walking man made trails and felt like walking in circles of trees. Upon walking for more than 4 hours in Forest, we came to a little villa area with some souvenir stores and cafe. Next to it I am not sure if it is too hot so the man made river dried up or under construction. Just when It is getting interesting. Tour is over and we completed 5 areas of attraction. Until this day, I still don't know what is the bid deal of a wood bridge, small villa and little forest. But I guess there are no natural forest in the mainland, so people have to travel to Sanya.

“Good break from the Beaches at Sanya”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

Visited the Yanoda tropical forest along with family. I think it was one of the best tropical forest area in Hainan and it has a great verity of activities for people of all ages.
Bear in mind, you may need a lot of water for the day and there is a fair bit to walk.
You do have a lot of area to cover and expect to wait for a bit for the shuttle buses that ply on the windy roads, or else you can even hire a private golf cart (good fro 6-8 people) that will take you around all the main attractions.
The highlight for me, apart from the lush gardens, and various activities, was the sheer attitude of the staff – anytime you walk past them they wave their hand with a ‘V’ sign (their call sign for Yanoda – a way to welcome others in the local tribe language) and yell ‘YaNoDa’! A great way to get you excited about the place.
Had a great time and will highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sanya, and have got a bit too sun tanned over at the beach 

“Not worth a visit”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

The place was very overcrowded, if you want to have a real rainforest experience this is the wrong place to go.
Instead of having a nice relaxing afternoon away it was a very stressful experience. I would recommend anyone to rather stay at the beach than going to a rainforest with a bus loads of people!

“Tourist trap”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

Anyone who likes to travel and experience a country, culture and nature a bit is at Yanuo at the wrong place. The day we went to the park around 10.000 other people were travling the same area, and according to our guide it was a very quite day.
The whole park is very commercialliced, the great view of the mountain goes over a massive construction side of a hotel plus some very ugly buildings.
The area would have a great potential, if there wasnt so many people in this park, the people looking after the park would actually care about the nature ( you can hold some parrots to make some picture....only that the parrots look quite sick and should be treated a bit better...)
My only recommendation is to stay away from this place...

“MUST EXPERIENCE OR YOUR MISSING OUT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

I have traveled all throughout China and the Yanoda Rain Forest is by far one of China's greatest assets. To fully experience the adventure you need to take in the trekking water adventure of the rainforest. It was absolutely awesome. If I was able to rank this a 10 instead of a 5 it would be. Don't miss this. Be sure you have a change of clothes and a towel for afterwards. It's a must. Any rating less than a 5 on this one, the people must have been some where else.
