“Basic hotel, suitable for budget or business travellers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

Location is a bit out of the city center, it is loacated at a quiet place and there are only a few shops nearby.

There is not much facilities in the hotel but it worths for this price. The size of the room is big, rooms are clean and we all have a comfortable stay there. The toilet is dark and a bit too big for me.

It is suitble for budget and business travellers.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2012

Hotel lobby is quite modern but the rooms themselves are quite dated. The corridors are dark and a little dirty. The rooms themselves are clean (I was in a windowless room so it was a bit dark) but they are quite small, though it was perfectly functional for one night. There is no wireless but the broadband worked as did the TV. Sound proofing is quite poor though.
The hotel is large and has 12 floors, and caters for many tours groups. There is a tour booking desk in the lobby, and a small coffee shop and souvenir shop, and a large restaurant on another floor - the food was decent. Hotel does not call taxis but you can hail one on the street as it is on a major road. Service was poor - the staff lack basic customer service skills.
If you can get a room at this hotel for a good price I would still recommend it.

The room is big enough to place 3 single bed. Come with basic feature like TV, water maker.
The toilet only has 2 small light. Very dark.
Furniture is aging.
carpet look dirty

The hotel is book through Travel agency. Hence cannot commend on the price and location. But one of our tour mate complain that his room has leaking basin and no toilet door.

The place is old and in desperate need of repairs. There was a large hole in the corner portion of the bathroom ceiling, and we were quite certain that this was where the horrible smell was coming from. We had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times to reduce the smell in the room to a bearable level. The room was windowless and very humid. The lighting was very poor. There was a TV and a mini fridge, and the air conditioner did help a bit with the humidity. The hotel did offer a free breakfast which we did not try. The only good thing about this hotel is the location- it is centrally located next to a large walking street with lots of shopping and dining, plus it is very close to the Gulang-yu ferry.
