“Powerful heating!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

The room was simple but nice, comfortable bed, good shower, everything you need to be comfortable.

The heating was super effective which is something super importabt in this part of the world, particularly during winter.

Breakfast is included in the room, and consists of instant coffee/tea, milk, cereal, fresh bread, butter, jams and cookies/pastries. Fruit would be a great add-on!

There is a kitchen but I didn't feel comfortable using it considering it is like in the house of the owners - the rooms are upstairs and their house / kitchen / living room is down-stairs. Also, the hours to use the kitchen are limited. But it can be used.

There is laundry facilities on site at a fair price - a plus!

Overall pleasant stay and decent value for money. We ended up going back a second time, so that's a good sign.

Only 9 blocks from the bus station, so perfectly located for us. Very ample room with all the amenities including our first TV on this trip.. Only caveat is if you need to use the kitchen to cook a bit of dinner, it is chaotic.. That said, the proprietors young son is probably the cutest kid ever and will entertain you through the chaos.

We only stayed 1 night after a cruise before our early 5:30 flight the next day. The hostel is clean enough, reasonably priced, and the owners are very pleasant. It was a bit farther from downtown than we expected, though very close to the interesting cemetery. Our problem was we paid (quite a bit) for 1 load of laundry to be done, and it was not done until around midnight (we had to get up at 4 AM). If the staff did not have capacity to do the laundry they should have told us rather than keep saying "just a little bit longer". Also the comments about the place being rather loud inside (hardwood floors with no sound insulation) are correct, so keep that in mind if you are a light sleeper.

Located at the end of town, but as it is a small town just 4-5 blocks from the city center. Our rooms where on the 1st floor so we had a nice view over the magellan straight.
The rooms where bright and cozy, bathrooms are shared but basic and clean. There's even a very well equipped and very clean kitchen which made it a pleasure to cook a meal.
The owners are friendly and it is a very familiar ambiance.
I would deffinitely recommend the place!

Third floor has 4 rooms, separate bathrooms for girls and boys and great kitchen. Rooms were large enough and kitchen nicely equiped. Average breakfast, but great value for the money.

The rooms were very large but VERY noisy. You could hear every footstep from all of the surrounding rooms and felt like all of your neighbors were in the room with you. The owners were very nice and accomodating and even set up breakfast for us earlier than usual so we could catch our tour. We really enjoyed the hostel but if you are a light sleeper I would go somewhere else.
