“A majestic experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

We did the full circuit in 8 days, much better than the standard W. If you have the slightest interest in the flora and fauna and geology you have to have a guide, otherwise it is just a great walk with no appreciation of the real beauty of the park. While there are highlights such as French Valey and the Torres themselves, the total walk is an experience not to be missed. Some of the Refugio's we used were adequate although the served meals left a lot to be desired but overall we had no complaints

“stunning views, peace and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

The park is very big, best is to sleep in the park to avoid the long drive to and from Puerto Natales.
But we had only one day and stayed in Puerto Natales, so we hired a 4x4 and had a solid day of driving with about 400km 2/3 off road. Unless you go hiking you do not need a guide, your own vehicle is the most efficient way to go around. There are great views, lakes, mountains, glaciers and plenty of opportunity to get close to wild life, great photos of the condors mainly in the flats on the minor roads.
We recommend the lago grey and the walk around the small peninsula, and the lago/laguna Azul, the view of the mountains from there is fantastic. But wherever you go, it is all great.

“Outstanding geography and scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

We spent 4 nights in the area and thought this place was amazing. We stayed at La Torres hotel and did a full day tour called the full paine with our guide Ricardo. We had the most beautiful sunny day so the sights were stunning. The full paine hits all the major attractions in the area and includes a boat trip on Lago Grey. Given we are not hardcore trekkers and how changeable the weather can be, nailing the park in a day was brilliant, especially as the weather for the rest of our stay was not the best. Word of warning, the wind is brutal almost all of the time. Ricardo was excellent as a guide. Cannot recommend him enough.

“What an awesome place, don't miss it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

The scenery here makes it one of the very special places in the world. It has everything, stunning views of lakes, mountains, waterfalls, glaciers, icebergs, wonderful variety of flora, fauna, and wildlife, treks to suit all ranges of ability, all absolutely fabulous! Just keep your fingers crossed you get at least on blue sky day to really appreciate the scenery.

“The park of all parks.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

I've been to a few national parks within the US, but this one blows them all away. If you make it far enough south into patagonia, this is a must-see. My husband and I stayed in Puerto Natales and took an excursion into the park. It is about a 2 hour drive to the park from Puerto Natales. I think if we went back to patagonia we would stay within the park (although a downside to staying in the park is it tends to be expensive). It is also possible to rent a car for the day and then drive yourself into and around the park. The mountains, lakes and glaciers will be something I will remember the rest of my life.
