As we drove from Puerto Bories with TDP in the far distance we spotted hundreds of Guanacos grazing by the side of the road. Guanacos are part of the South American camelids group with Llamas, Alpacas and Vicunas. Closer to the mountains we saw Condors circling high above looking for food. Our first stop was to take photos of the Salto Grande waterfall, we were fortunate with the weather and some amazing shots of the thundering falls. Next stop was a picnic at Pehoe Lake absolutely stunning mountain peaks only TDP could supply. Hope you will forgive the pun but the icing on the cake was when we reached Grays Lake and walked right up to floating Icebergs. There was a section of the lake where the water had receded which enabled us to walk out to an island which was surrounded by bergs. A once in a lifetime experience.
