“Unique place with stunning scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

What's not to like? This some of the most stunning scenery I've ever come across. Not only that it's instantly recognisable & on every poster for the area. The wind blows a bit and you have to chose a sunny clear day to get the best out of it but even a non-hiker, like me appreciates a view like this. For the hikers and climbers it must rank very high in their catalogue of extraordinary places they've been to.

“Nothing like it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

It's one constant wow! Did the W with an extra day to be in the park longer. Not an easy trek with full packs so mixing in a day hike from one of the campgrounds is a good option. Most amazing for we North American hikers is no need to carry water. Just need a tin cup to dip into the numerous pure streams along the way. The eating shelters (only place cooking is allowed) are a good/bad.....good to meet outdoor loving folks from all over the world......bad because in high season, they are packed.

“ruta de chile .com( tour company)”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Dear All,
Hi. Recently we went with my family through the tour company ruta de Chile .It was the worst experience of our life . The place is beautiful but the tour company is a scam. They charged us double per person in Santiago and didnt keep to any of their committments. They had offered us a tour guide for torres del paine and perrito Moreno in Santiago but when we got to torres del paine there wasnt any . We were charged a whopping amout of 120 dollares per person when the whole sigtseeing trip was only 60 dollares per person with several travel agencies At the Argentinian border they misguided us and didnt let us know about the papers such as the birth certificate we needed for our kids.
The company is one of the worst and I wanted to write this review so that none of you go through the same experience as I trust Trip advisor a lot .

“a must”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

love all except maybe it is getting really crowded. However, there are alternative paths around if you still want the "end of the world adventure " feeling.

“A "must-do" in your lifetime!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

There is no word that can explain Torres del Paine well enough. The trekking from Laguna Amarga was a bit gruelling, especially the last 800m to 1km to Mirador Las Torres. However, the turquoise lake, the towering karsts and the serenity pay for all the pain. Although we dubbed it "Towers of Pain" but we simply could not keep on spreading the words to everyone how beautiful TDP is. We haven't done the "W" trek yet, and TDP is just a small part of the W trek. Look forward to do the W trek at some point.
