“One of the most amazing spots on earth.”

I spent 5 days in this amazing park but will definitely try to get back again to spend more time. I did the "W" hike and had a great time. The range seems like something out of a Tolkein novel. I kept expecting to see and elf in the forests or a dwarf pop out of the mountain.

The hike itself isn't very difficult. Like any outdoors trip, you want to know what you are doing, but this one is accessible to just about anyone who is physically able to carry their own gear for 4-5 days. The trip can easily be broken up into ~15 km days, leaving the bulk of your gear at lower elevations. However if you've done much trecking before, you'll enjoy camping up the valleys at Campiamento Britanico and Campiamento Torres.

This time I did it solo and met many great people at the campgrounds. However next time I'm bringing someone with me and doing the full circuit.

“One of the Most Spectacular Places On Earth!”

I hiked and camped for only 3 nights but they were the highlight of my trip to South America. Bring rain gear and be prepared for WIND. Hiking poles are a great help. Bring a camera - even a cheap camera will suffice the views are that awesome! The water is pure - no filtration needed. It is very, very sad about the fire. Obey the rules... they are there for a reason.

“The best view & experience in South America”

Very beautiful view, absolutely breathtaking scenery. The best view on earth I ever seen in my life. My three weeks trip in South America happened because I saw a photo of Torres Del Paine on the internet and decided that I will have to see it at least once in a life time. Luckily we could make it happened.

The park was amazing! Full of wide life animals and beautiful flowers, fauna and flora. We went there on a day trip from Puerto Natales with Turismo Comapa. They collected us from the hotel and also dropped off. I booked the tour all inclusive and it's quite convenient because we didn't have to worry about entrance fees, lunch, etc. Anyways guys see the photos & Enjoy!

“The "W" an unforgettable experience!!!”

What can I say: the pictures do say it all... We did the "W" a couple of weeks before the fire brook out (which is so sad, especially when humans are to blame for this fire). The "W" was more challenging then we thought (the last 45min up to the torres are steep as well as the french valley) but it is great, especially due to the 5 days of sunshine :).

Some small tips:
Hiking Poles - We did not have them with us, but when the weather turns bad I can imagine poles can be helpful (some parts are really rough and steep).
Water - Just bring 1 bottle and get your free refills from the streams :)
Pack light - No additional information required I guess.
Towels - Despite that we booked the refugio's (incl bed, food, sleeping back and towels), some refugio's did not have any towels available anymore. Not to worry as we brought are own, so bring some (just in case).
Headlight - If you wanna go up the torres in the morning, a head light is a must.
Sunblock - Yes it sounds almost too good to be true but we had everyday good weather and sunblock is a must not to burn alive.
Map - All paths are very well marked and you will get a map upon entry.
French valley - Regarding the French valley, go as high to the first view point and not all the way to Campamento Britanico. It is a real demanding part and everybody we saw said that the view does not change fundamentally after the view point (30 min south of Britanico).

Last but not least: respect the park rules so that everybody can enjoy this amazing park.

The scenery in this park is like nowhere else in the world. The lakes and fields and animals and cascades are awe inspiring, but when you add the back drop of the granite outcroppings, it is something else
