Description: Aldea Restaurant looks to develop the concept of eating good. Start from the idea of enjoying every moment of the ritual of eating. Mixing local products with flavors of the Mediterranean, trying to keep each product in its original condition, using products of their own garden, trying to make that delicious it is also healthy. The chef interacts with visitors to create the perfect blend of each dish and a good wine. Slow Food.

“Best meal so far”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

A very friendly guy opened up the restaurant for us as we were peering into the window. He then took the time to explain/translate the menu for us and so we decided to stay and eat.

The restaurant is very attractive inside with some great reggae music playing in the background.

The very friendly guy turned out to be the chef and provided us with a delicious meal - loin of hare, something we had never tried before but was delicious. Pisco sours and wine also terrific.

All in all a great evening, do try this restaurant if you are in Puerto Natales.

“Great inexpensive Home Cooking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013 via mobile

Aldea restaurant is a good choice in Puerto Natales, set one street back from the waterfront. The menu is written up in Spanish on a blackboard, but the waitress will happily talk you through it. The choice is not extensive but all the food is home cooked and there was enough variety for us to eat here on two nights. We particularly enjoyed the slow cooked beef, plateau al horno, and the hake. It is also reasonably priced.

“Outstanding locally sourced cooking.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

A great little restaurant with outstanding food. The lamb and ceviche were both amazing. The owner personally presented that night's blackboard menu to our group and cooked special meals for those who had dietary restrictions. Can't explain enough how much I enjoyed it other than to say I ate here 2 of my 3 nights in Puerto Natales.

“Best dinner in Puerto Natales!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We absolutely loved the food, the owner and his family. Our #1 rec for people coming to Puerto Natales. We are staying in The Singular Hotel, which also has a wonderful restaurant, but our dinner here was our best and most authentic so far. Delicious, simple, and perfect Chilean cuisine. Everything was delicious, the atmosphere homey and intimate, the service was fantastic. Thank you Aldea for giving us a perfect evening!!

“Very bad client treatment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

We went with my husband's family (8 people 2 children) to dinner with a reservation at 9.30 pm. We called that afternoon to do the reservation with time because we knew that it was a small place. Lots of friends recommended us the restaurante, that's why it was our first choice. We arrived there at 9.45 pm, 15 minutes later, and the garzon told us that one of our tables was taken by other couple (we had 3 tables reserved). The restaurante wasn't fully occupied, 2 tables in the left side of the restaurante were empty and 2 other tables in the right side of the restaurante were also empty. The owner came out talking only excuses, that we were going to be unfortable sitting in just 2 tables and then he didn't want to move one of the tables of the other side to sit us, we insisted almost begging and he said absolutely no, even when the couple sitting in the right side offered to move to the left side of the restaurante.
The truth is, that it was plenty of space and tables to sit us, but everybody felt that the owner didn't want us there and he wasn't able to solve the problem with the best attitude.

Very dissapointing...

Dear Fran,

This answer is the same that I wrote to Chris, that was in the same group with you. As a first thing to say, I apologize for the bad moment you had. Is far away for our philosophy to give bad experience tou our customers. We have reserve politic that our young waiter didn´t respect when you call by phone and for us was 45 minutes late, not 15. It was a big mistake of us and we have no excuses to give.
Nevertheless, mistakes happens and we are very sorry that our only mistake that we have made happened to you.
Hoping for having you at Aldea so we can fix our mistake.
Atentamente.
