I had a lot of trouble getting responses to emails for bookings in Puerto Natales in January, since I was trying to make contact around the Christmas/New Years holidays. Finally I just tried telephoning this hotel, and was able to get a room for a Saturday/Sunday night. I did need to use my basic Spanish to book. The location of this hotel is right in the center of Puerto Natales (not on the waterfront, so no views). Price is midrange ($82 per night single for a large bed in a standard room).
The staff was very friendly and helpful, arranging a couple of tours and transfers that I was not able to do before my trip (the Balmaceda/Serrano tour and a van transfer to Torres del Paine). They also helped me with booking the public bus on return from TdP.
The room was clean, reasonably outfitted (with TV), warm blankets, hot water, but a bit noisy on a Saturday night (thin walls and windows). The noise was mostly from other guests walking down the wooden balconies, not street noise. The breakfast was extensive, mostly carbs and some sweets (cookies for later).
There is a very friendly calico cat, Clementina, who owns one of the sofas in the sunroom area. Be careful if you sit there, and don't wear black pants!
