I was at Zlatar on Saturday evening only to learn that they close at 21:30? The place is shabby, has some scent of the times long gone. There were few people in, and now I know why. The owners and waitress spoke no English, but that was not the problem. They were kind and service was reasonably quick. The problem was the fact that the restaurant is simply to costly for average food and drinks. The wine cost approx 17.5 Usd whilst in supermarket is valued 3-4 Usd. Anyway, I was happy to have some fresh fish and glass of wine, but that's about it. The city of Mejillones has nothing better to offer, so if you get there( and you really need a good reason to get there), you'll just have to live up with it.
