“Tanei Guest House Siem Reap”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

Tanei G.H. is simply the best place we stayed in a 5 week trek around the country. We paid an off season rate of $20 and got a spacious, clean, well appointed room. For this price, it comes with a nice breakfast. The swimming pool is great as is the service. Because we stayed 9 nights we each got a free massage and a 750mm bottle of Italian red wine.

This place is a must. Book directly. The more expensive rooms have only a queen size bed.

Stayed here last week with our family, we had two rooms as there is 5 of us. We had a double and the kids had a triple room just along the same floor. Rooms were a good size, especially the double, not much luggage space for three people in the triple but good enough.
Breakfast was included, choice of 5 set menu's, basic but did the job.
The location of this guesthouse is great, just five minutes walk to pub street and anyone of the numerous markets. There are also Tuk Turks waiting out the front.
The guesthouse has security out the front and feels safe.
The pool at the guesthouse is good for a dip albeit very salty.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The value was great and I would definitely stay here again.

The 1st night, they arranged me to stay another hotel in front of Tanei without additional fee since the electricity was broken however the hotel was totally nice with lovely breakfast as well as pool equipped; so I stayed at Tanei from the 2nd day with upgraded suite room next to the swimming pool which was amazingly nice.
Also, they offered free bicycle rental (which is really important since the guesthouse is located a little bit far and dark in the alley), free from/to airport pick-up, the best tuk-tuk deal in Siem Reap which was 12USD/day. (all my friends live in Siem Reap told me that my tuk-tuk price for a day was really cheap and they were all surprised.)
At the last day breakfast, one of the staff reminded me to checkout before 12:00 but they could keep my luggage until my flight time, and also offered me to use their shower room, I fell very content and had a wonderful time in Siem Reap. Will definitely stay at Tanei for the next time I visit Siem Reap!

We stayed at Tanei for three nights in mid-June and had a nice time. Tanei had a driver at the airport to pick us up free of charge and then had our room ready for early check-in. Breakfast was simple, but good, and it was included in the low cost of the room. The restaurant in general was just ok but the prices were as affordable as they are everywhere in Siem Reap ($1.00 Angkor draughts, and buy 2 get 1 free at that). The pool area was very nice although at times lots of the lounge areas are shaded. We stayed in the old building which was still nice, but we had heard the new building (by the pool) was nicer and it did look that way from the outside. Overall, the service at the hotel was top notch helping us to organize things to do and finding drivers for us at all times of day. Good Khmer service all around.

Went to Siem Reap in May 2013 with 3 friends. We booked a room for 4. It's suprisingly roomy for USD100 / night. Free wifi available. Bicycles available for ride around town throughout stay. Walking distance to night market. Plus, in room massage service available. There's a nearby muslim village for those looking for halal food. Overall, great location, good service, good value for money.

The guesthouse was just what I needed when I was recovering from some of Angkor Wat's revenge on my stomach. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the somewhat average but good breakfast. It is conveniently located a couple blocks from the main part of town. Also the pool is nice and well maintained. Also no mosque too close to you to wake you too early in the morning. The rooms have everything you need...Thanks!

Best place to stay in Siem Reap. Our room was one of the larger ones and had everything to keep us comfortable for 4 weeks. The TV has a great selection of stations, the bed is very comfortable, the bathroom spacious and clean and a comfy couch to relax in. The pool is exceptionally clean and its lovely to have a swim at the end of a hot day. The owner and staff are very helpful and will help you with all your needs. Business or holiday, Tanei Guesthouse is great value.
