“We loved this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2011 via mobile

We loved our 3-night stay at this guesthouse. It neither suffers from being stuck in the tourist-trap area (although only a 5-10 minutes walk) nor is it a soulless international hotel stuck on the outskirts. There is a very nice clean pool, pleasant grounds, friendly staff, and a fair-priced restaurant for breakfast (and other meals if wanted). The guesthouse could provide tuk-tuks and boat tickets at competitive rates without excessive flogging. Our twin room with balcony above the pool was great; clean, homely, aircon, fridge, TV. The bathroom was very large, the only drawback being slightly aged with a short shower. All of this is as it should be, but for the price we paid it represented outstanding value and comfort. I am concerned to see the place is up for sale and hope it continues in its current vein. I definitely recommend this guesthouse for anyone who is looking for friendly, relaxed comfort at a great price.

I've stayed 3 times at theGreen Garden. What attracts me is that it's small, only 2 storeys, it's attractive rooms (number 15 in particular) and it's lush courtyard garden around the pool.
It's modestly piced, has a modest restaurant, and is 100m from an excellent supermarket. The Old Market, Night Market and the restaurant district are 10-15 minutes walk or a $1 tuktuk ride away.

I discovered sweet Green Garden Home GH on my first visit to enigmatic Cambodia in 1997, ever since then on frequent re-visits GGH remains a very delightful place to stay while in Siem Reap. The manager, extended family & staff have always provided genuinely friendly, professional service with a smile, as well as offering trustworthy, reliable local knowledge & expertise. There are several types of accommodation on offer from deluxe rooms in newer villas to standard rooms in older villa ~ all spotlessly clean, quiet, comfy & secure, with satellite tv, bottled drinking water & daily housekeeping. The addition of the delicious little pool several years ago, set in lush green tropical garden, alongside the beautiful mango trees, makes GGH a true gem; complimentary computer/internet & pick-up service from airport or bus station available, guesthouse conveniently located within walking distance of everything in town. Keep up the excellent work GGH .. see you again this November! Marianne, Vancouver CANADA

Lots of good reviews on here, but we actually left the Green Garden and found better accommodation for about the same price. Rooms were run down and had a strange odor. Rooms didn't lock properly and didn't have any form of safe. Female travelers may want to stay closer to town; particularly if walking at night.

We stayed at Green Garden Home in March for 3 days and were very pleased with our choice. The location was good, the room was big with balcony overlooking the swimming pool. Large ensuite bathroom with a bathtub. Free-wifi internet and they also have couple of PC's down at the office for guest to use (i.e. for those without laptops needing connection to the internet). We used the swimming pool several times every day and were always the only ones there. Great for relaxing and chilling after a long day or even just over the noon when it's really hot. They alway have several clean towels down by the pool which was also great. The room was cleaned daily with towels provided. There is also big sitting area in the hall - great for reading, internet browsing etc.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were picked-up by the tuk-tuk driver at the airport on arrival and after reaching the guesthouse we had our luggage taken to our room. We used their tuk-tuk driver who did not speak much English but we always managed to say what we needed.
When we used him for the entire day we paid him USD15. We only tried the restaurant for breakfast once - had waffles with honey, few slices of pineapple and tea/coffee and paid USD 2.50. The rest of the times we just bought fresh fruit in the market or street stalls and had fresh mangoes (the best) for breakfast.

They also offer laundry service at Green Garden Home (USD2 / 1kg) we did not use it but saw another laundry just across the street from Green Garden Home with the price on a sign being USD1 / 1kg - but not sure if the quality was the same or not.

Overall I would highly recommend this place. Also the guides and maps they provide for free were very useful.

We spent 6 days here and were really happy with it. Good value, lovely pool (great for relaxing after extremely hot days clambering over temples), good location (walking or short tuk tuk to centre, supermarket a few steps away), very clean. Free airport pick up with no problems. We used their tuk tuk driver for our temple vists (David, I think) and he was lovely. Gentle and humble. Apart from breakfast we didn't eat here so cant comment on the food. We recommend the Green Garden.

We had a very cheap room that didn't have hot water, not really needed in a hot place like Siem Reap. Rooms with hot water are also available for a little bit more. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is beautiful and clean and the garden setting is pleasant--just what you need after a hard day of temple hopping. There is a restaurant in the back that provides a variety of breakfasts. We couldn't have found a better place, especially given the price.
