My family and I stayed here for 4 nights as a treat as we had been staying in cheaper hotels for 2 weeks beforehand.
It was so nice!! As soon as we walked in it was beautiful and we were treated so well.
(I actually started to panic thinking this hotel was a lot more expensive than I thought)
We had a family room which were two large rooms, each with a balcony and large bathroom with a shower and large bath. The rooms also both had a safe. There was an internal lockable door between the rooms, so you can have some privacy from the kids.
Breakfast was excellent, they had choices for every taste.
The pool was beautiful.
This was definitely a highlight of the holiday - we wished we had have stayed on longer!!

we stayed at somadevi for 2 nights. it was a first visit to siem reap. the hotel was certainly worth the value of what we paid especially when you consider the delicious buffet breakfast that was included. we also had 2 meals at the hotel and the food was quite good. they have a lovely pool and spa which we enjoyed. staff were very courteous. there is wifi in the room although the signal is stronger in the lobby. the hotel is quite central and the night market is walking distance. our room had a common balcony which was shared with 2 other rooms so i wasnt so happy about that but the rooms on the other floors had private balconies. overall it was a very enjoyable experience!

Room Tip: the deluxe rooms are better as they face the pool side. the superior rooms face the the street

Stayed a long weekend in this hotel courtesy of Thai client and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is about 15-20 minutes walking distance from Siem Reap town centre and is a reasonable size building set back from the trunk road so not too noisy. It is also 5 minutes walk from the pickup and drop-off office of the new Aircon Coach which runs between Bangkok and Siem Reap. So we took the 5-6 hour bus ride back to Bangkok to work after our relaxing break in the Angkor region. At USD$28, it is far cheaper than the rip off price of Bangkok Air which obviously monopolise the Bangkok to Siem Reap flights.

Hotel is not that new but all the facilites are well maintained and kept clean. Rooms have balconies which either faces the main road or the pool but prices may be higher for pool facing rooms. Usual modern amenities in room and bathroom, typical of 4 star hotels and there is a separate shower opposite the bath tub. One of our rooms had a dirty bath when we arrived but that was quickly cleaned up and the staff are very courteous and helpful. In room broadband is free but speed not good but we were told that is typical of everywhere in Siem Reap. Sleep quality is good as the hotel is reasonably quiet with mainly older tourist. There was a big coach party on the day we arrived and we could not even find a sunbed or chair to sit down next to the pool. However, we did enjoy the pool bar during later part of our stay when big groups are gone.

Breakfast quality was reasonable but not outstanding. We did have light lunches at the poolside bar area which serves reasonable quality sandwiches for only US$2. We had dinner out in Siem Reap town every night and even went to the Cambodian culture show with dinner at Koulen restaurant which is walking distance from the hotel. Overall, it is a good value for money hotel which is not luxurious or pretentious, I will certainly stay here again when I next visit Siem Reap.

Room Tip: Go for rooms on high floor and pool facing if you like quiet sleep

We stayed for two nights; the suite had a bedroom with large en-suite bathroom, a lounge & a second smaller bathroom off from that.
We had no complaints with the room, lovely dark wooden floors, quality furniture & a huge comfortable bed which gave us a good nights sleep....what more can you ask for after a hard days sightseeing?
Unfortunately, there is building work going on behind the hotel. The constant banging of scaffolding being erected could have bothered us on our first afternoon when we wanted to catch an hours nap, but considering we had just travelled for 24 hours to get there, nothing could have disturbed us. However, the banging starts at 7 am each morning, so if you're hoping for a later wake up call, be warned :)
The pool is very nice although in the shade in the afternoon. However, this was actually a blessing as the temp reached 39 degrees during our stay & the hotel only had four parasols available for guests to use with a sun-bed. Also at the pool some noise can be heard here from the building site next door, but to be honest it didn't really disturb us.
Breakfast was nothing special but was sufficient to set yourself up for the day.
Pub Street was a 10 minute walk away with a varied selection of good value bars & restaurants. We only went there in the early evening which was a fine time for anybody with a young family; I think later on it might get a lot more lively & not be quite as suitable!
We felt safe walking around in the early evening but were very guarded with our belongings as the usual opportunist pick-pockets are always ready for the unsuspecting tourist.
We would recommend this hotel to our family & friends.

Room Tip: Use USD's as your currency, it's soooo much easier!

I'm really happy with my experience at Somadevi Angkor Hotel. The staff is lovely, accommodating and so sweet. The rooms were pleasant with a huge tub and a separate enormous "rain" shower with great water pressure. Complimentary drinking water in the room. Ample room amenities. Beautiful swimming pool. Awesome breakfast spread which was complimentary with the room we booked, You can have cuisine typical of any area of the world. Noodle soup, fruit, eggs, what looked like dinner food to me, pastries were all available. The hotel can arrange for taxi drivers or tuk tuk drivers for touring, The rates are the same as everywhere...so you don't do any better going outside the hotel for these services. The location is walking distance to Pub Street and the night market. You can easily walk to Phare, the circus. And it isn't too far to the ruins. I thought this place was fabulous. The only things that were a bit off for me, but not game changers was first, the bed pillows are really thick and hard. Also, I used the hotel spa for a body scrub and there were no changing rooms in the spa. I was first asked to change in a bathroom. And after the scrub, I was asked to change in the sauna which was not being used. This was a bit odd to me. I do recommend this place for Siem Reap visitors without reservation.

This hotel had friendly staff, spa centre, extensive Asian and western breakfast and excellent location.
we stayed 4 days and got 40% discount on spa services. So a 1 hr massage was $18. Khmer massage was memorable.
staff were great. Concierge could have better English and drinks were a bit pricey at$5 for cocktails.
tuk tuks always available outside, $2 to most places is ok.
pool was lovely and place was well maintained. Unfortunately they were expanding and building noise was audible outside rooms. However, this should be finished by June judging by the speed of construction.
room service was very tasty and reasonable.
