My husband & I stayed at the Day Inn for 3 nights/4 days from 5 June '09 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. For the price (NZ$80pn) incl breakfast, we found the hotel to be excellent value for money.

We enjoyed a cool down and relaxing beside the good sized, clean pool after a morning touring the temples. The hotel has a small restaurant & bar with attentive staff and the option of eating/drinking outside by the pool.

Our room was extremely clean, large and included a minibar refrigerator, tv with cable, bedside lighting/aircon controls, a desk & comfortable chairs. I did notice that interconnecting rooms are available for those travelling with children. The bathroom was the standard hot/cold shower over bath variety complete with toiletries, however there was no hot water in the vanity sink.

Internet is available in the lobby at US$3 per hour and WiFi is available but we didn't use it.

The location is an easy 10 minute walk into the Old Market & Pub St area of Siem Reap and Tuk Tuks are waiting outside for only $1 per trip.

We would definately stay here again and have recommended The Day Inn to our friends.

Thought the day Inn was a really good hotel for 60 USD per night. As we were travelling with a two year old (and grandparents), I was careful to select an appropriate hotel to cater to everyone. After advice from others on tripadvisor we settled on the Day Inn. (The other contender was the Victoria) The staff were lovely with our son and spoilt him rotten. The rooms were very clean although if I'm being picky, the cleaning staff were not so good at removing old plates and glasses. The also left rotting fruit in there. The food was ok at best but there are plenty of options around the local area (such as the FCC). The pool was a real treat and the outdoor area was an absolute pleasure to spend time in.

4 of us stayed here for 3 nights.
We had a packed couple of days around the temples with our excellent guide Saron.
This hotel is clean and ideal for anybody who wants a bit more luxury than a B&B.
By far the best feature of the hotel was the pool with ample sun loungers. The water was the temperature of a warm bath and was ideal if you have a few hours to spare.
My only criticism was the reception staff. I wanted to post a letter and postcards. The staff happily took the postcards but wouldn't take the letter even though it had stamps on it. They understood English but just shrugged and said no.
I asked Saron if we could stop at a post office and post it. He laughed as there was a post office 50 yeards from the hotel. The post office staff took the letter.
I know this is a trivial moan but when you're paying that little bit extra you do expect more than a shrug!

This hotel is ideally situated for convenient access to both the centre of Siem Reap, and for visiting the nearby temples. The rooms are spacious, modern and spotless, the pool is lovely and the staff friendly. The breakfast is fantastic! All in all, a haven of tranquility after a long day exploring the temples - would strongly recommend.
