In truth we didn't stay there but having read all the hype we went there for dinner one evening. We found the place to be atmospherically chilly. I had expected beautiful Zen like stillness but it seemed quite lifeless. Th dining room was vast - very high- and the food was the ultimate disappointment. Lovely service but dull and expensive food that lacked creativity and interest. Perhaps we just hit a bad patch but we were so glad that we hadn't stayed there. It simply is not worth the money although we understand that the staff are on 24-hour call for the clients and it does appear mysterious and special from the outside. Additionally it is a long walk from the hotel into town so transport would be essential but to be fair it is readily avaialble at the hotel.
There are other better choices to be had in Siem Riep and the temples are just wonderful!
