The Mysteries lodge was a good value at $48 usd per night. It has an impression of a Khmer building with basic but comfortable rooms. The 3 door system (to keep out bugs is a big annoying - need to get rid of one set). There is a lovely pool with salt water which after a day at the temples is great.
The 2 owners (from France) and the young staff are very helpful in arranging Tuc-Tucs and recommending restaurants.
The stairs are imitation of the Wats and are very steep and narrow and slightly dangerous especially when carrying luggage.
There is a basic restaurant on site which is okay in a pinch. Food is good, but not plentiful (very french, I think).
Although there is no TV in the room, it would be nice to have a fridge as you are a fair distance from the centre of town - down a gravel road. Not really an ideal location but certainly quiet. When you are sitting outside, check out the ghecos - they are huge.
Internet access is $3/hour, an expensive price but nice to have the convenience.
Spend 2 or 3 days at the ruins and relax at the Mysteries de'angkor
