We went to Siem reap for Angkor Wat which is a world wonder. Everything else is icing on the cake so to speak. There are very few high end properties on this level in Siem Reap. This is right up there if not the best. Park Hyatt far exceeds what one would expect in a smaller town setting.

We flew in from Singapore and this property is on that level. You can feel the hotel the minute you walk in the door. When the staff loves where they work and work well together it is magic for the guest. The staff makes you feel so welcome.

The food is some of the best in Siem Reap. The breakfast selections and preparation are top notch. Dinner was very good and they accommodated our request to share multiple small selections with extra serve ware. Service was leisurely prompt and polite.

Spa services are a dime a dozen outside of the hotel. We where more than happy to pay the hotel tariff to have a beautiful spa experience after a full day of temple touring.

FOR THE BEST ICE CREAM IN SIEM REAP GO TO THE GLASS HOUSE LOCATED RIGHT AT THIS HOTEL.

We are a two hour flight away and we want to come back for a 3 day stress decompress cleanse with a big bowl of ice cream.

Room Tip: Pick a room that faces the garden courtyard.

We went for afternoon tea and found that it was overpriced for what we received. The food was attractively presented but the taste was not exceptional. As well we had to ask for a second cup of coffee and extra water was not offered for the tea. At 25.00 per person we would have expected more, this is very expensive for Siem Reap (maybe not for this hotel).

Dear cud5,

Greetings from Siem Reap and thank you for your review which we sincerely regret not to have been a positive one!

Naturally what you mentioned about the afternoon high tea offered in regards to the price and taste will be reviewed and taken into account. For the meantime, I would be more interested in hearing from you further of what you would have expected more from the menu and being that we are a 5-star hotel located in the middle of town; prices are just the way they should be and reflect our brand.

cud5, I hope that this did not mar your otherwise positive stay at the hotel and I welcome you to contact me directly if you plan to return so that I can personally look after your accommodation requirements.

Best regards,

Sholto

This place is an oasis of calm and beautifully laid out. The library room bar in particular is one of the most visually stunning rooms you will ever see and the courtyard is a great place for lunch. Food is excellent as is the service

Dear Cavendish6,

Greetings from Siem Reap!

Thank you so much for your brief and positive review about our hotel. Naturally we could read how your stay with us was since the title of your review could mean enough to us. We really appreciated your singing the praises of the hotel courtyard, the food and that the Living Room where a majority of our guests described as the library room bar and restaurant was particularly mentioned!

Thank you again for this great review and we hope you will make it back someday to stay with us again. Please do drop me a line when you do have dates in mind so that I can personally assist. It would be a pleasure.

Best regards,

I stayed at the Park Hyatt on a quick fire trip to Cambodia in December 2014. I reserved a suite using points and Diamond suite upgrade. Suite was spacious and clean with well thought out interior decorations. I was offered a welcome drink too before checkin. Atrium of this hotel is very classy with a 100-year old banyan tree surrounded by water and fires (at night). I had an awesome dinner while watching beautiful Apsara dances performed in the hotel courtyard. The tour guide package turned out to be a boon - we got an awesome guide, a car with an ice cooler loaded with chilled water. After a hard day of exploring the ruins, I had a nice swim in the outdoor saltwater pool. Location of the hotel is great too - only 5 min walk to pub street where most tourists congregate at night. Overall, I had an amazing experience and can't think of any cons for this hotel.

Wow. This is a unique treat of a hotel to stay in when visiting Siem Reap. Beautifully appointed, gorgeous courtyard, a blissfully air conditioned Library bar and restaurant. The food is good (pricey though) too. Our room was beautiful although it took us a day to figure out how to work the lights.

The location is perfect....walking distance to the shopping streets and alleys but far enough away to be a little out of the craziness. Rooms are quiet and dark.

The pools are interesting and a cool respite after coming home from sight seeing. The spa was just OK - You feel a bit like you are going to the gym...I would skip the spa and go to one of the places outside the hotel which are good and extremely cheap (I went to Lemongrass...not luxurious, but still felt good!).

I really enjoyed staying here and it added in a very positive way to our visit to Siem Reap. Definitely recommend!

The Park Hyatt in Siem Reap is a gem in this hectic city.
We had booked the hotel as we read very good reviews about it online and the pictures looked very nice. Our choice was later on confirmed by the (independent) taxi driver who was dropping us from the airport saying: "This is the best hotel in town".

Upon arrival we were greeted by very courteous staff, offered tasty welcome drinks and shown around the impressive grounds as the hotel boasts 2 stunning pools, a luxurious spa and beautifully decorated facilities.

The room itself was very charming, with high ceilings, relaxing color tones, and a very luxurious bathroom filled with all amenities one person could want.
The room came with a view of the internal courtyard, which is fabulous, especially at night when there are Apsara dancers.
We booked a 5-course dinner/Apsara dancers show one evening and we were totally astonished by the quality of the food, the dancers, dresses, ambiance: overall Amazing. And all that for less than 50$ per person (that will by me a drink at the Park Hyatt Dubai!).

In terms of service, the staff were very courteous and well trained. There were a couple of very minor mishaps that we communicated to management and they were quick to respond and make it better and at the end this is what shows a great service. All hotels in the world have sometimes small lapses in services; the way they answer to these makes a guest come back or not. In our case, we're already planning our dates for the next vacation in Siem Reap!

Room Tip: Go for a Junior Suite with a courtyard view.

Dear Akkkk,

Greetings from Siem Reap and thank you so much for such a glowing review on Trip Advisor!
What can I say other than I was delighted to read your genuine and wonderful review about our hotel and nothing more than that we would like to hear as our only objective is to meet the expectations of our guests and made their entire stay with us a pleasant stay to remember. Thank you for having chosen to stay with us and your stating “The Park Hyatt in Siem Reap is a gem in this hectic city” was certainly a compliment and one that I was delighted to read. So thank you so much!!

Appreciated your also singing the praises of the pools and the room and that special Apsara dance performance was a highlight! Delighted that you enjoyed your dinner with the show!!
I have of course also noted re your mentioning about a couple of minor issues you encountered during your stay and naturally we agree to say that the way we answer to a guest’s need makes the guest come back or not and am happy that we were able to resolve those matters while you were here.

Thank you again for your great review and we hope you will make it back someday to see us and insist you drop me a line when you do have dates in mind so that I can personally assist.

Best regards,

We spent two nights last weekend, overall a satisfactory stay but not quite the Park Hyatt we were expecting. There something wrong with the general layout of this hotel, the flow is not there. Although the design has all the classics of their designer, we have not found the luxury of a Park Hyatt. The staff very helpful and their service great, food was of excellent quality apart from a soft club sandwich, maybe the weather! Maybe it should have called a Grand Hyatt!
It took me a few days to think over that review as for many years I was a Diamond Hyatt card holder and was only staying in Hyatt, so nothing personal Sholto but for me it is a wrong marketing decision in the category when you have prices like they are.
