This place is a must see in Cambodia. I saw it after spending a day at Angkor Wat, but it was well worth the trip. Don't miss the black buddah just around the corner.
As a tour leader, i have visited many temples many times in Angkor, and Bayon is definitely one of my favorites. It's the most for sure the most picturesque temple, especially for its enigmatic smiling faces you can approach very closely.

Less crowded than Angkor and really beautiful!
Nothing can prepare you for the detail and scale of this building which you are still allowed to get really up close to. Go before it gets roped off!
