I give the hotel 4 because I feel its to expensive for what it is. Cambodia is very very cheap and room rates of $130 to $200 per night is steep for a boutique hotel, when the daily wage of a Cambodian is less than $1.
Moving on to the hotel, its nice and clean. Its just been painted. All of the staff speak English and were always happy to help and always available to help. I cannot fault them in any way.
The rooms are small, but expected. You have a 32 inch flat screen Sony with just about every TV channel. AC & Fan in the room. Shower and bath.
There is a mosquito issue in Siem Reap, its not an FCC issue, its a jungle issue. Do what I did and get a plug in before you go and some strong repellent before you go. The maids do spray the room, but you may want to take a can with you just to be sure. If you turn left out of the hotel and walk for 10 minutes, there is a supermarket that sell fly spray (international brands) or ask the hotel, I'm sure they'd give you some.
Free WiFi - Which is great when there is no 3G in Cambodia.
The food was great, I mean really really good. Totally unexpected at the quality and choice. Beer is $1 at happy hour and outside of that its $3 and so is a Coke.
The hotel Tuk Tuk can take you to Pub Street, drop off and collect when you want. $2 each way. Cheap.
You can rent a guide for $40 per half day for tours. Great knowledge and English. You can book all your tours from the reception.
I recommend the helicopter tour over Angkor Wat if you can afford it $90 for 10 minutes.
I would go back tomorrow, the only thing I thought was negative was the room rate in comparison to 5* chain's in Siem Reap.
