“A Peaceful Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

A calm place and peaceful surrounding is exactly what you need when you come from the temples or the busy city market. This hotel has a wonderful pool where you can slow down after outdoor activities. Rooms are spacious and clean. Service is kind and friendly. And you can order a massage to conclude your recovery in a perfect way. Breakfast is a little poor. But nevertheless a place to recommend to others….!

I have just stayed at the Angkor Boutique Tropic Hotel for the last 5 nites and have enjoyed everything about it .
Friendly staff out to please, huge clean room and a very relaxing pool area .
Good breakfast to start the day .
I used the same tut tut driver each day and he was great, his english not very good but that did not bother me all ...at one stage we got lost but it was worth it , we ended up at a very old monestry , monks chanting and in pray and no tourist to be seen ..thats what I call adventure.
The only downside is that its very hard to find and the sign is small .
I would definitely recommend this place and I will be back
Well done to all the staff , especially to my tut tut driver .

This is a little piece of paradise set down a track off the main road to Angkor Wat.This friendly family run hotel have got it dead right. From the welcome on arrival to the waves when we left it was perfect. The rooms have a balcony overlooking the pool and even a rain shower, handmade bath and power shower! The hotel is so personal and spotlessly clean,it was charming to stay somewhere where such care has been taken. They do have buffet breakfast now and you can order eggs too. They will pick you up from the airport for free and so we used their mr Sao Ratha who was very punctual everyday and so polite and helpful we would recommend him to any future guests. We went to the temples which are stunning but must also suggest one of the best days we had at the stilted village on Tonie Sap it's like a film set ,fantastic.
Thank you to you all for a wonderful stay

Room Tip: We understand all rooms are good

My hisband and I had a nice 5 night stay at Angkor Boutique Tropic Hotel. Really friendly front desk staff, clean rooms, and a decent (salt) pool area to relax by. We had originally booked 4 nights in a double room, and one night in a twin (only availability at time of booking). We asked if we could remain in the double room for the last night and the front desk worked their magic even though the hotel was fully booked. They even have laptop computers for you to borrow whenever you need them.
Breakfast could be better, but it's generally what you expect of a SE Asia hotel of this quality.
The hotel is located down a lane off the main road between Siem Reap town centre (5-10 min tuk tuk ride) and Angkor. We had a tuk tuk driver for our full stay (ask for Ratha) - well mannered and reliable driver.

My husband and I visited Siem Reap while on our 2.5 week honeymoon in Asia and stayed at Angkor Boutique Tropic Hotel for 2 nights in January. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is a hidden little gem! Our room was very clean and quiet, even though the hotel is located in the back of a piece of property off a busy street and the staff is very friendly, especially the slender man with the glasses that works there. I should have gotten his name! I'm a picky vegetarian, and their very affordable onsite restaurant had the best food I tasted in Cambodia! Breakfast is included in your stay. You can have a beer or cocktail and relax by the pool when you're not exploring temples and ruins, which is what we did after two exhausting days of temples. They also have free airport transportation which was one less thing we had to book ourselves. Their free Wi-Fi works very well too. The beds are a little hard but after traveling around Asia you'll realize that they are pretty standard in most hotels. I'd highly recommend this hotel, great value without having to spend a lot of money!

The hotel is nice air con good beds nice rooms away from the main road but also a little to far out of town. Maybe 25 minute walk

The staff are really lovely and helpful with everything. Pool is really nice. The food lets the place down. You can't really go anywhere nearby for breakfast so you're stuck with a place offers cold bacon and sausage with no eggs, and some niceish noodles and sole fruit but stale bread and cordial juice. I think they forget to replace heat flame on the food trolley so it gets cold. Pretty good place but FYI.

Dear Ben,

Thank so much for your good comment that your like almost everything about our boutique hotel.

Regarding to eggs, actually our hotel provide egg every morning up on your request as we don't store on the tray to avoid getting cold.

I will order to restaurant manager to put the sticker banner showing clearer letter that egg is provided up on request.

Bread are new every morning and they are from the Best Bakery shop in Cambodia.

For cold bacon and sausage, we will focus closely on the heat flame.

Your comment is really helpful and we will improve our breakfast to satisfy our guest and hope you will like our breakfast on your upcoming stay in Siem Reap.

Best regards,

Vannak K

Quiet, relaxing, clean, polite, lovely pool area - a perfect place to base yourself in Siem Reap. However, what made this hotel so excellent for me was the delightful, friendly and helpful staff for whom nothing was too much trouble and made us feel so welcome.

Room Tip: We loved our ground floor room which was a stone's throw from the pool side
