“Lovely Place To Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Bopha Angkor is like a sanctuary in the middle of a happening spot in Siam Reap - ideal location and a great place to stay. Our room was perfectly wonderful, the pool delightful, the massages outside a treat, the restaurant delicious including the breakfasts that come with the room. And a 24 hour fish foot massage - you can't beat that! The staff was super nice and helpful. Great spot!

Room Tip: We had room 7 which was perfect for us.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here in early April 2013. Hotel grounds and pool very beautiful. Food in restaurant expensive but that is typical in Siem Reap. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful--this is one of the property's strong points. Rooms Average. Air conditioning was not up to par. We set thermostat at 17 degrees Celsius, the lowest possible, and fan speed on high, and we were still perspiring all night. Bathroom tile floors are slippery, and a stationary glass panel on the bathtub, presumably intended to prevent water from the shower from splashing on the floor, is so long that there is very little room left to climb out of the tub--one needs careful balancing not to slip and fall. Wi-fi is intermittently adequate. I am surprised that I can complete this review using it. So if you can put up with aircon that doesn't cool the room very well, put up with the wi-fi, and exercise caution in the bathroom, this place is OK. A mixed review---aforementioned shortcomings, but loved the staff, location, and the hotel grounds.

3 weeks in Cambodia over New Year Holiday period - 5 hotels......this was by far the most disappointing.
As soon as we arrived we were told of an "upgrade" - for only 2 of our four nights. Upgrade? Really? More like "we're overbooked and will put you in a really nice room then shove you in a standard room for the rest of your stay"....Changing rooms after 2 nights with 2 young kids is awesome fun - much better than spending an extra hour at the incredible Angkor Wat.
First morning - woken at 5am for our 9am tour which was great because it gave us 4 hours for breakfast.
Asked reception to book a tour at least 5 times - great that they finally booked it - shame it was the wrong one!
Day of departure did the usual check-under-the-bed routine....found someone else's underwear (covered in a lot of dust) guess the staff were caught up in booking our wrong tours and wake up calls to notice - at least I got some bonus trunks . A good wash will probably kill all those mites -right?
Not all bad - loved the pool area, and the cute feet massage fish did their jobs well (unlike most of the staff).

I currently checked into this hotel for 3 days but i ended up extending my booking for a further 4 days as it was just perfect and relaxing.
From the layout of this place; set amongst beautiful gardens, the staff was always courteous and welcoming from the receptionist to the cleaners, the rooms weren't huge but big enough
The pool isn't huge but nobody hardly used it so i had it to myself for most of the time.

Location, its only 5-7min walk to pub street and all the markets around pub street. To get there, u leave the hotel, turn left and you'll see a bridge, walk over the bridge and then turn left, keep walking for few mins and you'll see pub street on you're right

thanks bopha for a wonderful stay

This hotel has thin walls, lumpy beds, lots of mosquitos & other biting bugs. They try to give you a room beside the very busy street. Dont fall for that. There are no phones in the rooms because guests would be calling the front desk to complain about the noise, What a dump!

Hotel is in great location. Staff very accommodating. Great value for money.
Markets places very close by walking distance. Localtransport right at the front of hotel. Pub street walking distance. Rooms are basic but clean. Free wifi is a bonus . The pool is a small pool but enough, pool side service avaiable. Temples are easy to get to by Tuk Tuk which are $15 a day and are right out the front xxx

The Bopha, for us, was a peaceful retreat after the heat of the temples during the day. We stayed in two different rooms - standard for the first three nights, and a superior room overlooking the pool for the last two nights. Both rooms were good, though the second was much more spacious and luxurious than the first. The staff seemed young and inexperienced but were friendly and keen to help us with any bookings we needed. The driver who picked us up from the airport was very good. The food in the restaurant was lovely, though I personally didn't like the breakfast. The pool area was very pretty and the pool was nice to swim and relax in. We had dinner in their sister restaurant on Christmas day which was excellent. The location is great for getting out to the temples, walking over to the main restaurant and bar area but far enough away to not feel hemmed in. Possibly not the best hotel in Siem Reap but seemed good for the price and we had a lovely stay.
