Beautiful hotel with a lovely pool to cool down after a day at the temples of Angkor Wat. The rooms are large and airy, although ones at the front of the hotel can be very hot.

I wouldn't recommend the food, so have lunch out. Cocktails are better at the FCC and happy hour is very cheap. There are good charities to become involved in and there is an orphanage called Cambodia Orphan Save Association near to the temples that needs financial support. The hotel will give you the details. Tuk, tuks are very easy to find outside.

  • Liked — The sense of space and airy rooms
  • Disliked — Opposite a building site

Our large, high ceilinged room amply housed the three of us for 4 days. The cooling system was amazingly quiet, the staff quite accomodating and competent. The central location allowed us to sample the wonderful eateries in downtown Siem Reap easily. Our engaging trip arranger, Ou Panha of Amazing Anghor Tours suggested this hotel which is much more reasonably priced than others along the farther out hotel row. Best of all, the hotel is Cambodian owned which keeps more of your tourist dollars in this wonderful country. The hotel water does take a lot of time to warm up and after it does, the large stone-tiled shower makes bathing a satisfactory experience. We were a little freaked out by a cawing type sound coming from our drapes, but it turned out to be a "lucky" gecko. Our guide told us when the gecko "barks" in the room it brings good luck to the inhabitants. We were glad it was there eating the mosquitos.

A great medium sized hotel well located for both the nightlife and the historical sites. We had a good sized, clean, pleasantly furnished room with a good bathroom. The only slight complaint was the same as another review, that the water took 15 mins to run warm.
The rest was very good for the price, a nice small pool, reception and dining area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also used a registered guide booked through the hotel for visits to the area and he was excellent.
Recommended.

We went here after failing to get into the Bopha Angkor.

It's a beautiful hotel. The rooms are stunning.

Unfortunately, there were problems. The hot water only worked intermittently. There wouldn't be any, we would go complain, they would do something to fix it (IE, the water would become a little warmer than lukewarm), and then the next day there would be no hot water once again.

We were paying $60/night, which would have been a bargain had there been hot water!

The other problem , sadly, is that someone on the housecleaning staff is a thief. I had $100 stolen from where I had (not too cleverly) hidden it between two books stacked on my nightstand. I know, I should have used the safe. Make sure that you do!

This is a hotel that by design has incorporated a modern version of the art at Angkor Wat and delivers service and luxury the Western traveller enjoys. The rooms are well appointed and the lighting systems adequate. The bathroom was clean and modern. The room was ventilated with a wall air conditioning system. Breakfast was a buffet feast included with the daily room rate. Service was excellent and they can arrange tours with knowledgeable and informed guides to Ankgor Wat. The pool and pool bar were exquisite as was all the art surrounding it. Negoitiate the price. This is a place that personifies the art experience of Angkor Wat at a reasonable price with very luxurious accommodations and excellent service.
