“close to angkor wat and clean”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Friendly front desk staff with good English and high concern for customer satisfaction. Rooms are good sized, fridge, safe, 2 free bottles water/day, bath/shower and kept very clean. Breakfast is included and a good size with lots of choices western/asian/cambodian - can eat inside AC or pool side. The spa offers very nice foot and full body massage inside or pool side. The pool is clean and refreshing. There is a small hotel shop but I was able to find everything I needed in it for clothes and personal toiletries when my luggage was delayed for 4 days by Bangkok Airways. There is always a tuk tuk outside ready to take you where you need to go. You can arrange to have one for the day for ~12-15 dollars. Wifi was good but kept kicking me off everytime I moved around in the hotel - from room to restaurant or pool or reception area are all on different wifis resulting in me constantly being forced to resigned in. would like to see the added option of "view password" so I could see what I was typing in for wifi password. Other than that - no issues. Recommend the location.

Room Tip: There is a balcony area on the top floor overlooking the pool. Nice area to watch the sunset. Not su...

The hotel was very gud.first when we checked into the hotel they gave us an welcome drink.then the staff told us that the room they have reserved for us was a triple bed room.we told them that we told the travelling agent that we wanted a room with 2 queen sized bed. They immediately arranged 2 connecting room with queen sized beds for free of charge for the extra room.then once they brought us to to the
room we were fascinated with the cleanliness of the room and the size of the room. The breakfast was good as there was a variety of breakfast food.the reception was efficient to .furthermore the spa was great .the gym and pool was Clean.finally the khemara Angkor resort and spa had complete our 4day 3night visit to siem reap.

I was pleasantly surprised at the standard of the room and the Hotel in general. Khemara reminds me of some of the old bangkok hotels, that used to be good but are going downhill - resulting in good prices for what used to be above average tourist class hotels. the furnishings are of reasonable quality, typical hard beds, shower over tub, reasonable but not good towels. my room, deluxe, features a door that was very difficult to open - even by staff, and had an overall decent but worn look and feel to it. buffet breakfast - pretty awful. the omelet bar was ok, but they don't replace dishes unless completely gone, and it seems the don't replace anything after about 8:30am, when most of the tourist buses have gone. they also don't clean tables very quickly - which is typical for local restaurants. Tuk-tuks in front of the hotel you need to drive in the evening into the city for 'pub street'. It was just great. A bar or restaurant next to the other.
My motto was, as i has noticed, also from many other travelers: temple in the morning, in the afternoon at the pool and in the evening pub street.

We booked this hotel by dertour together with an offer. It is a nice small hotel.
The rooms are large and clean, bed linen was changed daily. Air-conditioning worked perfectly. Very friendly staff, especially in the Spa area. The massages were to be recommended. The breakfast buffet was good and varied. In the evening we ate once at the hotel, price/performance ratio was right. Nearby are several restaurants and shopping. The large market is also not far away. We liked it in this hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is not right in the centre, but a Tuk Tuk (available directly in front of the hotel, price to the centre less than two dollars per Tuk Tuk) one is very fast in the centre.

A real gem of a hotel. Regular travellers will know that it is becoming more unusual to discover something exceptional, such as the service at the Khemara Angkor.

The hotel is in a very good position, under 15 minutes from the airport and a 2 dollar (max 3) tuk tuk ride from downtown. The hotel is modern, spacious, clean with good facilities and decent food but what sets this apart from similar standard 4* hotels is the service. Firstly, the staff from cleaners and doormen to the Gen Manager, were all in it together, working to exactly the same customer service goals. The waiters, particularly the very personable Messrs Sophal and Sambo, in the restaurant (breakfast) were quite brilliant, very friendly, attentive and remembered exactly what we had the day before and what we might like that morning. Their whole demeanour and general pleasantness gave my family and I a great start to each morning.

It is also worth pointing out that the hotel arranged all aspects of our three–day sight seeing adventure at a third of the prices quoted before we arrived and took us at no charge to the airport in a hotel mini bus for our departure flight. And, to cap it all the General Manager came along for the ride to see us off.

This was the third hotel on a round the World trip. We stayed there for 4 nights. We had no expectations, never having been to Cambodia before. The Hotel was a First Class Hotel, with full services. The breakfast was included and was the equal best of anywhere we have ever stayed, with a cook on hand to do whatever wasn't already supplied.
The room we had was spacious and had two queen sized beds and a very large ensuite.
The Reception was manned 24 x 7 and did anything that we asked of them.
WiFi was provided. In the room occasionally it was flakey, but someone attended to it as soon as we mentioned it.
I could go on with examples, but it would just get boring, so I'll say, that to anyone thinking of staying in Siem Reap visiting the Angkor Temples, do what we will do in the future give this place a try, you won't regret it.
